Hi guys! To avoid having a MAJOR run-on paragraphs, I'll just put the hi-lites in bullet points:

I left you with the last post that Amber (Denver sister) and Chris got engaged. We are all so happy for them, and excited for ourselves that they have elected to have a destination wedding, so family vacation here we come! They are looking at next spring, but nothing is set in stone yet. And if you know Amber, this all could change 100 times before spring gets here...(sorry Amber, if you are reading this, but its true ;) This picture is in Hawaii, where they got engaged!

My very best friend Ashley's fireball daughter, Addison, turned 2! She was PRECIOUS at her birthday party, she sat there and was genuinely interested in each gift she got, it was so cute, and she looked so stinkin cute in her Hello Kitty get-up and piggy tails! I dont have any pictures though because I was working, and only got to stop in to say hi, so I didnt have my camera

My girlfriend Kela started Jazzercise, and has been VERY successful with it!! GO KELA!! So, I decided to join her one night, and although I am sure I looked like a robot with 2 left feet, I had a really good time, and joined! I have been loving it, and on days I don't go (because I ~~have~~ want to run instead) I sure miss it.

I have been selling more stuff on Craigslist..the washer/dryer, a tent I had (hell will freeze over before I sleep outside) I just love it! I'm not sure how I keep finding things to sell, but I do! I have 5 doors on there now if you are interested! (Cam replaced all bedroom/closet doors)

I met up with a couple girlfriends from work, and we rode to Lawrence to eat sushi at this yummy place..Yokohama, if you have never been, and like sushi..go!

Girl's Night out this month was at Kikus, and it was soo good!

Our front loaders finally arrived, and Cameron is more obsessed with those things than I am! By the time I got home from work on the day they came, he had every piece of laundry done! I have to admit..they are pretty awesome! I am anxious to see how much they cut down on our water bill

I turned 27. (No exclaimation point..) but, it was fun, so no complaints (other than I dont want to turn another year older) Cam & I both worked on my bday, but were off during the evening. When I got home, he had an ice cream cake, my present, 2 bottles of wine I love, and goodies for a movie, as we were heading out the door to go see No Strings Attached. It is cute, you should Redbox it.

For my present Cam gave me windshield wipers (lol, I needed them badly) and I got SURE CUTS ALOT2! Oh yea baby!! If you don't know what this is, God love ya.. No, just kidding. To explain it quickly, it allows you to cut any shape/letter on your cricut without a cartridge. I have spent my days off putting this AMAZING program to good use! I've already called my scrapbooking partners and warned them that our next crop day just got a whole lot better!

Here is a little something I made using the surecutsalot2. Its an antique window (thank you dad/Brenda for FINALLY finding me one at an antique shop) It will hang on our bedroom wall, I really like the way it turned out!

You know those coupons all of us girls get in the mail for the free undies, and $10 off a bra at VS? Well, I always cash in on the free undies (who wouldn't?) and I got to looking at bras while I was there, (I was the proud owner of 1 single VS bra, the rest were Target cheap-os) well, the sales girl told me the Incrediable was comfy. When she told me it had a racer back,and closed in the front, I didn't even want to waste my time,but I tried it on anyways, and fell in "lurve" (as Lindsey would say) And as much as I wish I could say this was me in the pic below....lets be real. Anyways, this is the style...go try it on..you'll love it! Friday night a group of friends/family got to gether for my birthday. Cameron was unable to go, he was working, and I didn't want to ask him to use vacation time for one night, when we have so many other fun things coming up that he will need the night off for! (like 7 of them when we go to Ambers wedding, or the 4 weddings we have coming up this year) Anyways, we met at Quintons for a quick dinner, then went to Laughing Matters. Only 4 of the 16 of us had ever been, and its safe to say that they all loved it! Scott, Ashley, Emily, Brandon & me

Today, Cameron and I ran our 4th 5k together! Laura and Jay were going to run it with us, but Laura sorta procrastinated registering, and it was too late. They closed registration when they reached 6400 people! Holy smokes it was insane! Laura and Mom came down to root us on though, and then we all met up with Jay for breakfast after! It was really neat, during the run, there are always random people holding up signs for their loved ones, and I passed this one girl, about my age, holding a sign that read "HEY STRANGER: I don't know you, but I'm proud of you!" I am not an emotional person at all, but I was genuinely touched by that. Also, there was this girl there before the race started wearing a shirt that said "Its not a miracle I finished, its a miracle I had the courage to start" seriously, how cool is that?!? I think we could all use one of those, even if you aren't a runner, it could apply in so many other places in life too. Here we are before the run, it was cold!

We came home from the race, and registered for our next one..

This is Sunday, April 17th. Laura and Jay said they will run this one..lets cross our fingers, it will be fun!

Also, Laura and I decided for Mother's Day, we wanted to do a 5k with our mom. (I have no doubt mom would rather have a root canal than do this, but, never the less..) So, we told mom at breakfast, and promised we would walk the whole thing with her, if she would do it, because it would mean so much to us. Well,I came home and called Amber to fill her in on what was going down, and she decided, on the spot, she is coming back for Mothers Day to walk it with us!! How awesome will that be!

Thats about all that is new with me. I have a babyshower to go to tomorrow afternoon, and I'm excited to give her all her gifts I made her/the baby!

Hey guys! I apologize (again) that my blogs are so random...truly, we are pretty boring lately, so there isn't much to report (except work stuff...which involved a semi and the side of my patrol car this week...yes, I was in the car, and yes, that pair of undies is toast ;)

Anyways, onto the fun stuff..Cam and I have been quite the movie crtics this week, we have seen the following 3..

The Dilema...don't waste your time, matter of fact, don't even Redbox it (and I love Vince Vaughn, so I was pretty disappointed)

Hall Pass-cute, but not $9.50 cute....either $2 movie it, or Redbox it

The Adjustment Bureau...good! And normally Matt Damon doesn't do it for me, but he is pretty foxy in this one, and Emily Blunt is pretty!

I finished Black Heels to Tractor Wheels....I LOVED it!! I cannot tell you enough to read it!! Soo cute!! I just downloaded Heaven is for Real this week. I am only a few chapters in, and so far it is a quick read. Click on the link to read what it is about..sounds really good. I'll let you know what I think of it when I'm done. And a side note, One for the Money movie release date has been moved UP TO JUNE 3rd!!! BOO-YA!

This is kind of random, but I read in one of my magazines that Rimmel Lash Accelerator mascara works AMAZINGLY. Normally, I am pretty loyal to the MAC counter, but I bought this stuff, and it works good! Its says "117% longer lashes in 30 days" so, we shall see!

Cameron bought a new mower, with a bagger!! So, I got to post our old one on CL tonight! I love that site!

Reference the title of this blog...you know you're adult..when you are PUMPED about your new washer and dryer! We went and bought these babies today (pic taken with my phone..kinda blury) they will be delivered on the 28th! (free delivery? yes please!) However, we REFUSED to pay for the pedestals, so Cam has time between now and the 28th to build boxes for them to sit on, so they aren't on the floor, and I don't have to bend over getting into them. How do 2 people dirty so many clothes?! I am frightened to see what the laundry area looks like when kids come along.

I am super excited for Wednesday, I have a laser hair apt,

and then Laura is taking me to see Little Big Town at Upton in KC, and we are going to go eat the Blue Grotto before!! I hope everyone has a sister, because I sure don't know what I'd do without mine!

We are ~~preparing~~, dragging our feet, preparing for the 5k on April 2nd....this will be ugly, but either way, we are excited! Im such a weenie running in the cold, so on warm days we run, but if its cold, we elect to just visualize ourselves running..lol

Update...not even kidding, in the time it has taken me to write this post...I have had 2 hits on the mower! Woop-woop!

Sunday is my best friend, Ashley's baby girl's birthday party!! Addison is turning 2 (I swear it was just a few months ago I was ~~patiently~~ waiting in the waiting room for BLAKE to get here...so Addison seems just the other day! Speaking of growing up too quick...we were scrapbooking (Ashley, her aunt Shelee, cousin Kayla and I)and I was picking up the kids toys, while miss Addi stood on the stairs yelling "oh no you didn't" lol...can you say she is her mother's child?

Hey guys! I haven't blogged in a while it seems like!! We are kinda boring right now, just working a lot. When we are off, we are trying to finish projects around the house, so that we can start our kitchen remodel SOON! We are both very excited...I will take pics along the way!

Anyways, I wanted to tell you about a book you have to read! It is called Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. A dispatcher at work told me aobut it, and it is such a good love story! AND they are making a movie out of it! So, read it, then lets go see the movie! Don't be one of those that just goes and sees the movie...put a little work into it, to make it all worth it! And, for those of you who are Janet Evanovich FANATICS as I am, is it too soon to start the countdown to July when the FIRST MOVIE COMES OUT!?!? CAN.NOT.WAIT!! A little bummed, because I will be on a canoe trip that weekend, but don't you worry, it will be the first thing I do when we return!

"Little Big" SUPRISE!

Laura had asked me a week or so ago to try to get March 9th off work..she had a suprise for me. So, clearly, I did what I had to to make sure that I was off! She e-mailed me today telling me that we are going to The Uptown to see Little Big Town as a suprise b-day present for me! I'm so excited! We had been talking about wanting to go to a fun place for a concert together, and now we get to!

Hope you all are staying warm...I'm getting ready to put on my 10 layers and head to work..but that is ok, it is my Friday, AND I think I get to ride partners with my friend Caitlin at work today!

A while back I was told about a blog that I should start reading, Bring The Rain. I read quite a bit of the blog, and cried a lot too. I later was told that the girl who had the blog, had written a book. It wasn't until our recent loss, and talking about it with a friend, that I decided to buy this book and start reading it. I started the book Saturday evening, and I am over half-way done with it! It is amazing. If you have ever experienced the loss of a child, or even if you have not, you should read this book. Not only does it find joy in such a bad time, it truly makes you think about how Christianity plays a role in your own life. (at least it did to me anyway) I have read some of it to Cameron, and we talk about how we felt in December, and how we will strive to raise our children with faith and values.

Anyway, thats all..just wanted you to check into this book if you have time. It is only a couple hundred pages long, so it won't take long..and you'll be so happy you've read it...and don't forget your kleenex.

I lost 7.4lbs this week!!

Cam lost 4.2lbs this week!!

Don't get me wrong, I am very proud of that #, but until I lose another 4lbs something, to get back to my lowest, I won't be jumping up and down. O-well, 18lbs away from my goal!!

Cam and I set a mini-goal this week. Whoever loses the least this week has to walk Frannie every morning for a week. Lazy...we know, but its freezin out there people.

Hi guys, hope you had a good Tuesday...I sure did, it was my day off!

I headed to KC this am for my laser hair treatment (only 6 more to go!) while I was there, I stopped by my beloved...Charming Charlie!! If I'm being honest, I went there for 1 item..slippers like I got Amber for Christmas. Well..little did I know I would be walking into a MEGA sale! They had a TON of stuff marked 50% off, then it was an ADDITIONAL 75% off the already half off stuff! I got that sweater on the left (kinda like a vest, but a tad longer), the fuzzy slippers on the right,6 bracelets, 8 earings, 2 rings and a watch with 7 fun bands (for momma-cita) all for $40! I practically skipped outta there! It was fun buying stuff out of my "norm" because I thought, hey, whats to lose for $1 and $2!

On my way home, I stopped by my friend Melisa's house to see her sweet new baby, and pick up GS cookies I definitley DON'T need! (but secretly excited about) Then it was home to get ready for our date.

Dinner was good, I had a wedge salad and crab cakes, Cam had a pizza he is still talking about (says its the best pizza he ever had) While I was at Melisa's, she had mentioned 3 spoons, a new yogurt place in Larryville.. which is just like Yogurt Inn we found in Vegas, or Yogurt-tini that Laura and I always go to. And I don't use "always" lightly...seriously, every time we are in KC. Anyways, 3 spoons is good! And wouldn't you know it, it was "2 punch Tuesday" so even more the reason to go back to get our punch card filled up ;) Then we stopped by the liquor store to get my new favorite wine, Pacific Rim Sweet Riesling. Thank you Laura for this introduction!

Suprise from Cam

Got my hair did Wednesday, and I really like it! It is definitley dark! I will have to take a pic and post it for you. Sometimes I miss my blond, but I know this was a healthy choice for my hair for a bit.

Yesterday Cam came home from work and asked me what I had planned Tuesday night (day off) and I told him my evening was free..whats up? He pulls out a groupon for Tellers! I thought it was so cute that he had signed up for Groupon for one (I talk about it enough) and that I have always wanted to try Tellers, but never have. So, Tuesday night we will be using our Groupon at Tellers! It helps that we have weigh in the next morning, so we won't go crazy with our eating.

Tuesday, before our date, I have my second session of laser hair removal in KC (a previous Groupon purchase that was put on hold when I became preggers) Not gonna lie..love that this place is within walking distance from Charming Charlie, I'll definitley be stopping in there!

Hi friends! I have really enjoyed my last couple days off! Sunday I suprised Cam by coming home early and suggesting we go see Life As We Know It at the $2 movie. It was really cute, and made us want a baby even more! (Despite how much that little baby cried ;)

Monday I went with Ashley up to her Aunt Shelee's house and we scrapped all day! I love doing that with them! I got caught up on several pages in my Vegas book! Cam didn't do anything nearly as exciting..he went and helped dad with rental properties.

Tuesday Cam went and worked on the rentals again, and I stopped by Chelsey's house to pick up a couple of vases that she gave me that go perfectly in my living room! After that,I had my 1 hour massage (thank you Groupon!) which felt like HEAVEN!!

After that, I came home, got ready, and Cam and I went out to dinner with a gift card we were given for Christmas, and to see The Fighter. It was ok..if you are dying to see it, you'd be safe waiting until it comes to $2..pretty slow moving movie...but decent.

Tomorrow I am GOING DARK! I repeat GOING DARK with my hair! I am so excited! I am trying to step out of my comfort zone. Here is the darkness I am going for, maybe with some red-hilites. I understand I am super blond now, so it will take a couple sessions to get this dark, but thats the goal. *Disclaimer..no clue who these women are..they popped up on google image search for dark hair. Lol, if you are reading this, and you know one of them..I assure you Im not a creeper ;)*

So, incase you haven't seen us in a while...we have packed on a few lbs...which we are not happy about. I have gained 10lbs, and Cam has gained at least that. The holidays hit, then our horrible news, and it just kinda snowballed from there. I am not trying to make excuses tho. Tomorrow we start back on the bandwagon...HARDCORE. We are going to weigh in every Wednesday morning in front of each other, and if we gain we have to go..sometime during that same day, to our mutual savings account and deposit $5. I don't much care about the $5, but the inconvience of having to go to the bank and look like an IDIOT depositing $5 is reason enough for me to not gain! haha! So, please help keep me accountable. I will post every Wednesday how we did. I have 24 lbs to go until my goal, Cam has 30. We have yet to decide what we get WHEN (not if) we reach our goals. Do you have any ideas?? I'd love suggestions...and no food reward please...obviously we've had enough of that..;) Not to mention,we have 3 (that we know about) weddings to go to this year, and 2 of them, Cameron is in the wedding, so this weight loss is a MUST!

Hello 2011

Hi guys! Sorry I have been absent for a while, had to take some time away and re-group if you will.

A lot is new with us, I don't even know where to begin. Cameron and I lost our precious baby, but we are holding onto faith and trust he/she are in Heaven and that this has happened for a reason, although we will probably never know why. I don't really want to go into detail on blog, but I do want to say thank you all for your prayers, we need them!

For my birthday last year, Cam gave me a necklace with our names on it, and after we lost the baby, we got 2 charms to add to it, a baby bootie, and the word faith. That necklace means THE WORLD to me! We have used the word Faith sooo much throughout all of this (as have so many other people, which I think is so neat) But we even found a cool wall hanging at Hob Lob that says "Fatih the hope for things that are not see, but which are true" and then I hung a cursive J and C on each side of it..looks pretty awesome. Then under it on the dresser is the glass vase with the dried out first dozen roses Cam ever gave me, and the vase has dried rose petals in it from other boquets he has given me.

I honestly can't remember everything that has happened in the last month or so, but I'll hit some of the positive hi-lights!

We got an espresso machine!! Safe to say it owns my life now :) I tease Cam that he needs to become a barista..the boy is good at makin drinks! Anyway, we justified buying one of these because we were going to Kaner Coffee every Sunday for our coffee/muffin/newspaper reading date, and spending $10+ bucks a week, so this will help save $! (And I wont have to brush my hair before we go! Oh wait..I can't say I did when were going to Kaner either..woops ;)

We have FINALLY started getting things on the wall! Slowly but surely we are getting projects done around here! Cam wants to start the kitchen remodel this spring/summer, but I said everything else must be done before we start that..no unfinished business! So needless to say, things are getting done around here..Cam is kickin butt! Lol, here is a pic of Cam being a NERD. He went downstairs to get something to hang pictures, and came back up with those on, and was being obnoxious with "safety first in our house" of course said with a true Osage County accent ;)

Here are some picture frames that I made for the hallway. I took the plain 5x7 frames in the wood isle at Hob Lob, spay painted them black, sanded them up for a rough look, stapled some ribbon to hang, and glued on a flower. Pretty cute, huh?

We had our family (my dad/brenda and all the kids) pics taken while Amber was back. There wer 16 of us..holy cow. It was kinda hard to find a place that would hold all of us, because outside isn't an option in December, but I ended up finding out we could get into the Capitol Building, so we had some pretty sweet pics! Here is a sample of a few..

With some of my Christmas $, I bought a bracelet. Now Amber, Laura and I all have matching bracelets, they are so cute! I have to tell you this about mine though, it gave me major goosebumps. So I order the bracelet, when I did, I talked to the seller and told her that I wanted the charm to have a J on one side and the word faith on the other. I told her it was totally open to her interpertation, but that I liked color. So, it came in the mail, and remember, Faith is the word that we've been using so much in reference to the baby. Ok, so the bracelet comes, and the colors on it are the EXACT colors we are doing the nursery in. Goosebumps? Yea..me too. (Kinda hard to see the colors in this pic..)

I'm sure I'm missing 100 things that happened that were fun, but evidently my ADD is kicking in.

and baby makes 3..

As most of you know, Cam and I are having a baby!!!! We found out at the beginning of November, and decided to keep things quiet for a bit. But let me tell you, now that "the cats out of the bag" as Cam says...it feels sooo good! I am 10 weeks along, due July 4th!

We told my mom, sisters, and dad & brenda by giving them each a letter from the baby. I don't think any of them had dry eyes after they read their letters! Cameron's family found out at his Papa's 80th birthday party. We all ordered our food, then we took the kids up to an empty balcony, and changed their shirts, (which had the message on them) and then they walked into the room at the same time. It was so neat to see everyones expressions and excitement! As for our friends, we mailed them the Christmas cards below, and let them find out that way!

A picture of us with 4 of the 6 kids after they helped us tell everyone our special news! Bella (far right) was so excited she wanted to wear her shirt to school the next day! And Deuce (2nd from left) told Uncle Cammy "thank you for letting me tell your suprise" how cute is that?!?!

So thats our big news, and I don't think anything I have to say could top that!

Cam is set (and I love the idea too) on having a gender reveal party when we find out what the baby's gender is! We have loved this idea since before we ever got preggers, so it should be fun!

Thanksgiving fun

I hope you guys all had a good Thanksgiving, Lord knows I ate enough for several people *insert guilt here*

Thursday before work we went to Cameron's cousins house for lunch (quickly!) before we had to go to work. Got off work at 10, and Laura met me at the house to prepare for our Black Friday extravaganza! This was her first ever Black Friday outing! Cam couldn't go because he was at work..I will add that he went in an hour early to work, so that he could get off an hour early to run by Best Buy to see if, by chance, they still had any of their free Samsung Fascinate phones (like I just got..sans the bedazzled cover ;) I was bummed for him, knowing how many people stop by Best Buy, I knew for sure he wouldn't have a chance at scoring a phone. Well, fast forward to 7:30 Friday morning, Cameron wakes me and told me he got the phone!! I was so excited for him!

Ok, moving on. Laura and I geared up with 3 layers of pants each, a couple layers of socks, several shirts, sweatshirts, and coats, gloves, hats, scarves..the works! We left around 11pm, and went to Wal-Mart north, figuring they would be less busy than the SW store..we were right! It was busy, but not insane. There Laura scored 2 sets of their 500 thread count sheets for $19 each, a $5 fleece for herself, and $5 fleece for her beau Jay. I snagged a fleece for myself also, 2 for Cam, and I happened to see as I walked by the pallet, a pack of 7 Hanes undershirts for $7, so I grabbed those for Cam as well, then we were outta there. But, not before we had to call dispatch because some A-HOLE thought bringing their PUPPY to Wal-Mart on BF and leaving them in the car in freezing cold weather was a good idea; Im not even remotely close to being an animal lover, but this really bothered me.

Ok, next we decided to go to Old Navy. Laura didn't have anything on the list there, but I wanted a puffy vest, and some $5 jammie pants. We get in there, and I noticed there were a ton of people, but I didn't realize just how many until we had to wait in the checkout line for AN HOUR AND A HALF..Laura continued to remind me as I was sweating (remember the layers?) that it could be worse, we could be sitting out front of Target. So, I decided to go to the bathroom and shed 2 pairs of pants. Mind you..first layer of pants was leggings, then my wool socks pulled up to my knees, then a pair of grey sweats, then a pair of jogging pants over the sweats. I decided the easiest thing to do was shed the outter 2 layers, so I could just throw them back on quickly when we left. Well..that left me waiting in line in leggings, a hoodie, wool socks to my knees and tennis shoes...I normally don't care what people think, but I was so paranoid by how stupid I looked! (And the frightened look on Lauras face when I came back to get in line with her said it all...) Anywho, she got a green long sleeve shirt, and a cardigan, I got a puffy vest, some jammie pants, Cam one of those sweaters that it looks like the collar is sorta popped and it has a zipper at the top, and a me another cardigan.

Ok..2am, we leave Old Navy, and head for Target. We wait, huddled like we are stuck in the Alaskan wilderness because it was SOO COLD for 2 hours! We were hurting by the time the doors opened. *Im going to insert a public announcement here...if you are a smoker, don't let me stop you, but have respect for those that aren't and DON'T SMOKE IN A CROWED BLACK FRIDAY LINE YOU INCONSIDERATE A-HOLE* ok...Im done. 4am came, we rushed in, Laura got a red fuzzy blanket normally $40, for $20, I got the same fuzzy blanket, a set of flannel Christmas sheets for $13 (juvenile, I know..but soo warm!) a couple of $3.99 board games, and 2 $5 scarves (I know what you're thinkin..you waited in line for THAT?) bite me...when you want something, you want something...and I've already enjoyed my blanket, and the sheets just came out of the dryer and were put on the bed, so those will be enjoyed shortly ;) If you can see the pic close enough, the sheet stack that is on the left, the ones I got are the second from the top.

Next stop was Sears. Laura wanted to look at something for Cam, but decided against it. I wanted this pair of mocassins, but was very disappointed when the sales lady informed me they went on Sale YESTERDAY, and of course, anything bigger than a size 9 was gone. O-well, the sun will rise tomorrow, right? I did go home and tell ~~santa~~ Cameron that I would like a pair, but I'm not holding my breath since I did get my a-maz-ing craft room for Christmas.

After Sears we went to another location which I cannot disclose via Blogger because a certain someone may be reading this ;)

Then we went to Panera for a little breakfast (ok, maybe not so little..) and then home to warm up and go to bed! I think I was asleep by 5:30am, and up again at noon. Cam and I went and got the Christmas tree, which we both really love doing, it is something fun we look forward to. This year I said I wanted one taller than last years, and I guess we did it...8 foot! lol Thank goodness for our 10ft ceilings. We've gotten out almost all of the decor out, and it makes me so excited for Christmas. Tomorrow I'm REALLY looking forward to, Im getting up and putting chili in the croc pot, baking cinnamon rolls, and Cam and I are going to stay in our jammies, watch Christmas movies, and decorate the tree! I LOVE MY LIFE, AND WE ARE SO BLESSED! Here we are at the Christmas tree farm in front of our tree!

Do you Shutterfly?

This Christmas I was tossing back and forth ideas on what to do with our Christmas cards, until I heard about Shutterfly, and then I knew exactly what we'd do!

I signed onto Shutterfly (SOO easy, not 25+ silly questions, its easy-peasy) and fell in love with all of their different products! I was looking through their holiday cards and was pleased with the variety. I liked the idea of not having a Christmas card that looked like everyone elses in town (because everyone goes to the same boring places) so I can't wait to send out my Christmas card that nobody else will have! They have classic photo holiday cards, stationary cards, folded cards..just about anything you could want..you'll find it on Shutterfly!

And you all know me well enough that I am a tight-wad, but with low prices on Shutterfly, I will definitley be using them for more than just my holiday cards! Cameron's birthday party would be an occasion perfect for the birthday cards and invites on Shutterfly. They are so much more fun, and less expensive, especially if you need more than "12 invites" like your stationary packs that they sell at the grocery stores. How easy is Shutterfly..log on, create your card, and they do all the work of making it look pretty?!?!?

Ok mom, don't read this part, but my mom has said that she would like a new calendar! So, how perfect are these calendars on Shutterfly? They would be perfect, and mean so much more too since they are personalized with pics of her favorite people!

I recently started loving coffee (maybe a bit too much) but check out these cute personalized mugs with pictures on them!

I would have to say my favorite product from the cards would be the flat photo cards, afterall, you can't beat .32/card! And who doesn't love receiving pictures in the mail, I know I like the Christmas cards that have photos included the best!

Hey friends. Thought I'd share my fun new cell phone cover I ordered online! Kela had told me that she got a fun bedazzled one online, so I thought I needed one too ;)

I've been trying to avoid reading all the craft blogs that I do, because my list of "want to make that" is getting a tad out of control, so...I'm trying to knock out the list rather quickly! Recently I was reading House of Smiths and found these and knew exactly where I'd put them..on the new sideboard! I needed more splashes of pink in the room, so I decided to go with pink! PS...when she said time consuming in her blog, she forgot to make it bold, and underline it, and put about a millon exclamation points! But after a few days (and 34 glue sticks..NOT kidding) they are done, and look cute!!

I also made a little somethin somethin for our friends, but I can't post about it until after tomorrow morning when I give the girls theirs (its not much, just somethin fun)

If your name is mom...please stop reading at this point..thanks. Ok, so I love Trey & Lucy and how darn stylish she is! Ok ok..so how this ties back to mommacita; Mom has to wear this drab gray smock thing at work, and she works with such fun/young girls, that the fun starting to rub off on mom! Mom recently CHOPPED her hair, and it is SOO cute! Cam has even commented several times how much he likes it! When I was in KC picking up the sideboard, Laura and I stopped into her work to see her, and she had this little pin on her smock, which got my wheels turning, that she needs some sassy/fun ones! I haven't taken a pic of them, but I've gotten several different colors, and even a Christmas print to make her some of these. to throw into her stocking! Did I mention that opening stockings is HANDS DOWN my favorite part of Christmas?!?! Probably thanks to mommacita for making them so fun/exciting as kids!

Today I'm going to go run a few errands, and hopefully get some scrapbooking done before I have to go work a few off duty hours tonight. It has become a joke between Cam and I, that EVERY SINGLE time we drive past Stanley Flowers on 6th I just gaze at it and say "I wanna go in there" so..today I'm going to go look!

Tomorrow is girls coffee date, and then we are going back to Chelseys to make Melisa and Adam's precious little baby girl some onsies for when she arrives! Chelsey came up with the idea of using freezer paper stencils, so I'm excited to learn something new/fun to use on other projects!

Saturday night mom and Laura are coming over to hang out/rent a movie, which I'm really excited to see them, I've missed them this week!

Then next week its a bunch of fun stuff going on! Thanksgiving, BLACK FRIDAY BABY!!, going to the Christmas Tree Farm to get our tree, and Cam and I are running in the Rescue Run 5K in downtown as a fundraiser for the the Mission. If I'm being honest, this won't be pretty, I have only been running about 1 day a week...YIKES! Needless to say,there will be no personal records set then.

Taco, sideboard and shopping..

Wednesday started off normal, just running some errands. We went to Hob Lob to look around at a few things, went to the Dollar Tree, went got some coffee..etc. See how I am trying to drive home the point that it was a relaxing day? Anyways..as most of you know, Cam's old vehicle, "The Exploder" which was a certifiable POS, was not reliable to say the least, so he/we had avoided driving it, and he knew he didn't want to pay to fix the issues, because they were going to cost more than the paid of hunk of sheet metal was worth. Moving on...so we decide to go "just look" at trucks. We knew we wanted a Toyota (had peeked at a few Honda Ridgelines..but we weren't in love) and we knew it had to be 4-door (planning ahead folks :) anyway..we were driving around, and weren't really finding much, when we drove past Topeka Nissan and Cam said "turn around, theres a Toyota back there I want to look at." Fast forward a couple hours later..and here we are at home, with Cam's new purchase. We both decided you know you're getting old when you are less excited about a new car, and more bummed about having a car payment again. But o-well, its very worth it, and came in handy the following day when I had to go pick something up..will talk about that shortly. "The Taco" as Cam calls his truck (short for Tacoma for you slow folks) will definitley come in handy!

So, I decided I would try the buying end of Craigslist, instead of always selling. I had been looking at sideboards to put up against this window to have more "sit stuff on" space, but didn't want to spend much $...enter Craigslist. I found this ADORABLE sideboard in KC...literally right next to Zona Rosa (suprisingly enough, I excersised self-control and didn't go shopping there) We are going to paint it black, and sand it down just like they did the white, so it looks distressed! I'll show those pics when we get it done! (Hopefully soon!)

After I picked up the sideboard, I stopped by Cabelas to get Cam's stocking stuffers. Today was the perfect day to do this, because it was military/law enforcement appreciation day, so I got the employee discount ( saved $23 after they took the discount off..woop woop!) so now I have 2 more items to get him..and he is DONE!

I'm heading to bed, I rode with Cam last night until late, and woke up early, so I'm beat!

I took my ping-pong table profit ($175....the lady that bought it doesn't need to know I paid $25 for it at a garage sale myself ;) and bought myself a new cell phone! It was time for my new-in-2, so I headed to Best Buy (they always have better deals than Verizon) and got myself the white Samsung Fascinate, AND had $ left over :) Needless to say, I was addicted to it at work tonight! Thank goodness it can plug right into the usb drive to charge, or I would have been in trouble! My gf Kela has this phone, and I liked hers when I messed with it at DD a few weeks ago, and she has no complaints, so I thought I'd go for it. I also liked the Droids, but they are so bulky/heavy, I liked this much more! It makes my Blackberry look/feel like a brick!

I've been noticing I have started a few projects, and failed to finish them..so I made a point this week to tie up some loose ends, so that I could start more projects/work on my scrapbook!

Project 1: Holiday camera strap. I made it not too frilly so that Cam wouldn't feel like a frufru when he has the camera. I can't remember what site I orig. saw these on, but I never really had a pattern, just kinda winged it myself..thought they have all turned out pretty cute considering!

A treat jar for Frannie! This is just an empty container that our protein shakes come in, and I saved one thinking I would put it to good use. Then I just used scrapbook paper, ribbon and my Cricut and made it cute! Frannie has already learned where her treats are now :) I also had a smaller container just like this one (that the fiber add-in comes in) that I saved as well, and used scrapbook paper/ribbon and made a cute pen holder for the spare room. (sorry..no pic)

Remeber these over at Everything I Love and More? Well, I clearly missed the boat for the Halloween ones, but I'm read for Christmas! Ashley and I were talking this morning over coffee on what the other holiday jars could say, like for Valentines day, they could be "I heart U" (using an actual heart, not the word) or "C heart J" Have any suggestions for St.Pattys Day or Easter? These could get really fun, and all it is going to take to change them is new ribbon, different scrapbook letters and different colored candy!

I stopped home for a quick bite for dinner, and I found this Orchid on the table from Cam. How pretty and different is that?!? I love how random he is, and how good he always makes me feel!

Tomorrow is my Friday..woop woop! Have a dentist apt, which I am excited for! Nothing is better than a dentist cleaning. I always say if I won the lotto, I would hire Janelle my hygentist to clean my teeth every morning/night!

Craigslist makes me happy

Hi friends! Nothing really new. Went and picked up a new book from the library today (LOVE that place) I feel bad for people who can't/don't read...it makes me so happy. Maybe thats just the daydreamer in me? Anyways, the book is called The Memory Keeper's Daughter. I saw it on an end-cap at Target, and it sounded good, so I requested it from TSCPL. I didn't know until I looked for this picture that there is a movie out about it too..maybe I'll have to watch it when I'm done? Even though books are SOOO much better than the movie..always.no exceptions.

Also, I have mentioned before I am mildly obsessed with selling stuff on craigslist. I have recently posted several things, but today a lady bought the ping pong table for $175! (Hello new cell phone for me :) she comes tomorrow with some muscle to pick it up! Yahoo for more space in the black hole that is our basement!

Hi guys! I'm just ~~avoiding P90x~~ winding down from my KC trip. Laura and I had a really good time!

Last night we went to the sushi train, and then to yogurtini..I'm currently drooling just thinking about it! Then we went home and got in our jammies, and watched Toy Story 3, its really cute if you haven't seen it!

This morning I slept in while Laura went and took care of some business. When she got home we went and grabbed some coffee at this cute little place called The Coffee Girls, and the went shopping at my favorite place..Zona Rosa! We spent quite a while in Charming Charlie, and I got a lot of cute things, but I can't say what they are because there are a couple sets of eyes that read this that can't find out until Christmas :) We made another cool stop, and again, I can't say what it is, because it would give it away for someones Christmas :)

Then it was off to my much anticipated, first actual laser hair removal session! It was pud! I guess it depends on your pain tolerance, but when you're used to getting your pits/hoo-ha waxed, laser is cake! I go back for my next session the week after Christmas! They say you should notice by session 3, so lets keep our fingers crossed!

After the apt, I dropped Laura off, and headed for home. On the way home, I stopped and picked up a Great Wolfe Lodge giftcard for Cam's sister's family of 8 for Christmas! We decided it was much easier/cheaper than trying to buy each of the 6 kids something. We figured they could all get use out of this. Jamie and Gabe went in on it with us, so we were able to give them a good amount!

I had such a good time in KC, I always love going up there and spending time with Laura!

I was glad to see Cam when I got home though! He is so amazing! I love the way he is so interested in what I bought, and how the trip went, and what all we did. I don't tell him enough how awesome he really is!

Well, enough dragging my feet, off to do P90x.

Tomorrow morning I'm meeting Lindsey for our coffee date. We kinda started a little ritual, I go get the coffees, and she makes us a little yummy breakfast!

Hi friends! I'm sitting in Panera in Missouri enjoying my cup-o-coffee, getting ready to go to Laura's for a slumber party!

I came up to KC today for my consultation for my laser hair removal! I have my first session tomorrow afternoon (hense the slumber party at Laura's so I don't have to go all the way back to Topeka, just to come back tomorrow) it doesn't sound too bad, and my "test spot" they did didn't hurt at all..so I'm excited! The gal said if I can stand the pain of waxing my armpits, this will be a piece of cake!

Tonight Laura and I are going to dinner at...you guessed it..the sushi train! I think she has resigned to the fact that suggesting any other place for dinner while I'm here is out of the question :) and thats one of the million reasons I love her! Tomorrow I think we'll go walk to get some coffee, then go shopping at Charming Charlie (yes, I realize I JUST went there...but I love it!) And Amber, if you are reading this..we are most certainly NOT going there to pick up any of your Christmas gifts ;)

So, I have not blogged since the 23rd..woops! Time has gotten away from me, but here is a re-cap:

I went to see my friend Caitlin's sweet baby boy, Rylen Dean...hes so tiny! It was fun hanging out with her and Mickie and gossiping ;)

I worked a couple of overnights (off duty) and then got up a short few hours later to go work my normal shift during the day, so needless to say, I haven't even been around a computer to blog! Well, actually, I have, but I wasn't smart enough to hack into a certain company's wi-fi ;)

The Toyne's had their 2nd Annual costume party, which was a lot of fun! I went as an old lady with a baby on her back, and Cam went as a peeping Tom. (sorry for the lack of photos, I failed to bring my external harddrive with me :(

Saturday I made a couple of Halloween shirts for my sweet friend Lindsey's son! I love love love my cricut! If you haven't tried cutting fabric yet with yours...do it! But make sure you use a brand new mat, and some painters tape..or there will be a lot of cussing involved....even for you Mrs. Toyne :) The Saturday night I was a loser, and got a burst of energy to clean out the basement, and I went to TOWN! I got so many totes emptied, stuff thrown away, and gave a bunch of stuff away also! Don't you worry, I found several things to post on CRAIGSLIST!! WOOP-WOOP! (my favorite thing to do!) including my very nice ping pong table, ALL of my Boyd's Bears, and Cam's TOO BIG Columbia coat! I have already had several bites, so hopefully we'll be making some transactions soon!

Sunday, was my first day "back to the wild" (if I don't know you, you have probably figured out that I don't give many details on my career....lets keep it that way ;) anyways..it was sure nice to be back!

Monday Cam and I started P90X.....we took before pics and all, I'm pretty excited about it! So, its a different video daily, 6 days a week. It would be an understatment to say there is room for improvement for me :) o-well, as Runners World says "you're still a winner..you've beat all those people sitting on the couch"

Well, I'm outta here, my coffee is almost done, and I'm excited to get to Laura's! (If you're wondering why she isn't with me...she has more pressing things going on...like a job interview!! Fingers crossed and prayers going up baby!

I'm sure I'll be back tomorrow night to let you all know how the laser felt for a full session!

9 days until we start P90x *insert groaning here*

6 days until Toyne's costume party! I LOVE dressing up in costumes, and seeing how creative everyone gets!

4 days left of my current work assignment, and then I get released back into the wild. YES!!!

10 HOURS until my highly anticipated (by me) coffee/muffin date with Mr. Wonderful!

Halloween crafting

A few days ago I blogged about an ~~adorbable~~ scary mummy that I had made for $1, well I finally ~~finished~~ had time to finish the other 2 that went with the mummy..

This is the Frankenstein, which I think turned out so flipping ~~cute~~ scary ;)! I made it out of a cut piece of 4x4 that I had picked up for yet another craft project (which you will soon see, as soon as I get some Christmas ribbon!) used my..can you guess?? spray adhesive to stick down the green material, used felt for his hair, my cricut to make his eyes, a button I had for his nose, felt for his mouth and I rummaged through Cam's work bench to find the screws that I spray painted black for his neck!

This is the pumpkin...which I can't say I'm in LOVE with it, but I'll keep it anway. After all, it only cost me a tiny bit of orange paint. The wood is more of the fence chopped up and glued together (thanks Cam!) and the green ribbon I had!

37 days..say what?

Ok, so I'll admit, I've been slacking in the running dept (it has been over a week since ran last)...when its cold outside, and still dark, I make all sorts of excuses to hit the snooze...but I finally got back on the horse tonight when I realized our next 5k is in 37 days!! I'm excited, and nervous all at the same time! I'm such a Sue Sue when it comes to being cold, that was one positive about being a fatty-patty, I was NEVER cold..I've still got some weight to lose, but that 80lbs kept the heat in! Anyways, then we have another 5k after that in December, the Jingle Bell Run, which will be fun, because you dress up funky for the holidays, and everyone ties bells to their shoes. Cam and I (and Laura...I haven't forgot about you...you're coming too baby!) are setting a goal to do a 1/2 marathon, hopefully next fall!

Also, in related news...Cam and I got P90X, and we are going to start it Nov 1st. Cam is looking to muscle up, but I'm going to do the "lean" program and hopefully help my big 'ol butt/thighs get over this plateau that I've been stuck on for a while now...gotta mix things up. So..I'll keep you posted on how that goes...expect lots of complaining...just warning you :)

Tomorrow is Friday, and I am excited for our girls craft night at Chelseys! Saturday its spinning class, family BBQ, birthday party at the pumpkin patch, and a wedding. Sunday its coffee date, and the Battle of the Badges football game at Washburn, which should be fun hanging out with everyone!

Day off...from work at least

I took the day off today to spend with Cam. One would think this would mean a relaxing day..but not for this list-making gal...we were scratchin' stuff off the "to-do" list since we woke up this morning. Well..I use "morning" lightly..it was after 10 when we got up..you can blame the newly installed black-out curtains..woops! It felt good to sleep in, but I hated wasting away even a minute of my sunny day off!

We started the morning out with a trip to the shake shop...I cannot get enough of the pumpkin pie shake..mmm.. We ended up going to what felt like 100 different places, but I'll hit the hi-lites...

got some smaller (insert sound of me tooting my own horn here..) gray dress pants, partially for work, and mainly because I wanted them to wear with my new vest to the wedding on Saturday. I'll post pics this weekend..

Cam got Eminem's new cd (insert sound of me gagging) and I won the title of worst girlfriend ever when I vetoed him playing it in Sara the Solara...sorry

Went to Hob Lob and picked up several things to complete a few half finished craft projects I have going. I think I have set a personal record now for # of times going into Hobby Lobby in the span of a week.

Went to Gary Gribbles in Lawrence to pick out part of Cam's (early) Christmas gift..new running shoes! It was cute seeing how excited he was. If you run even a little bit, it is worth going and getting fitted. We were even more excited when the guys there told us Gary Gribbles is coming to Topeka! They said they will be opening in February in the shopping strip that Target is in! Here is a pic of Cam's new running shoes

I can't give you many details on my costume shopping, because most of you know I am tight-lipped about my costumes until the night of the party. But..I will say that multiple thrift stores were involved, and I now only have 2 more items to get to complete my ensemble! And..I will also add that Halloween Express is a RIP OFF!
Got another HUGE mum/pampas grass for the front porch! I love them because they are perennials, so they will come back next year (saving me $!!)
While at the thrift stores, we happened to stumble across a few sweet snags (non-costume) I found this ah-dor-able green curduroy jacket (it is in the wash, otherwise I would have taken a pic, but here is a pic I found online, and it looks exactly like this. Total=$3! Cam found a pair of nice slacks (hey, when the boy is shrinking at the rate he is, buying new pants isn't exactly at the top of the priority list because he will be outta them in no time) Dockers slacks (not the cheap-o looking ones) =$3. He also found a NICE Old Navy jacket, that looked as if it had only been worn a couple fo times for $6...and what size you ask? Size large!! Even though I am excited about our finds, the first thing I did when we got home was wash everything...to say I'm a germ-a-phob would be an understatement.
For dinner we had planned to try LaRocca's because some friends had told us how yummy it is...well, FAIL..it is closed Mondays (who closes on Mondays besides salons?)so since we were in the mood for pizza, we had Buzzards.
Went to see Jackass 3D..it was funny!

Heading to bed now, have to go back to work tomorrow :( Hopefully I will be able to get some crafting done after work and I will post pics of my finished products soon.

For some reason, even if I have nothing planned, I end up running 100 errands, and feel like I have a ton to do..This Sunday was no exception! Cam woke me up for our weekly coffee date this morning. We grabbed the paper and walked to our favorite little coffee shop. I am convinced I need one of those big machines they have in there...I would have no idea how to work it, but I'm thinking it would save $ in the long run

After coffee, Katie came over, and we went and ran a few errands. I was able to pick up candy-corn which I needed for my centerpiece on my table. A few days ago, Ashley and I were talking about crafting things, and somehow the conversation led to the tree branch, with skeleton garland, and she mentioned the centerpiece she did, and suggested adding candy corn in the vase, which I LOVE, not only because its cute, but because I don't like candy corn, so I won't be tempted to eat it! After looking at this picture, I've decided next year I really need to work on making an arrangement, instead of having random pieces of Halloween decor everywhere.

After Katie dropped me off, Cam and I went and ran some errands. We went to Home Depot to get some wood for a craft project I am working on (hopefully it will be done soon, and I can post pics!!) I am excited for this project, because I will be able to use it for multiple holidays!
We also went to JcPenny, and got the final 2 roman shades we needed for the spare room (thank you Pennys for having amazing sales this week!) and Cam got a couple of nice shirts. It was pretty awesome, we were walking through the store, and Cam said "it's nice not shopping in the big section anymore. now I can go into any store and pick out whatever I like" it made me want to hug him!!! I can't say it enough how proud of him I am!! Which brings me to the next picture...I was hanging up laundry tonight and pulled out several pairs of slacks I KNOW don't fit Cam anymore (don't worry, we're doing a drop off at Goodwill tomorrow) but I showed him the pants, and he tried them on..check it out..

Cam has been working pretty hard on our yard lately! Dad came over and power-raked it, and Cam put down grass seed, so watering it has been a full time job lately! It is paying off though, you can see little baby grass sprouting up already!

While Cam was watering tonight, I was crafting! Look at my cute mummy that I made! I found the idea here. I still need to get the pumpkin and Frankenstein done, but I thought the mummy turned out adorable! I used a scrap piece of wood leftover from Cameron's dad's old fence, used my cricut to cut out the eyes, and had to buy the muslin, which was less than $1!

I have known people that use spray adhesive, but I had never messed with it (I tend to steer away from the unknown..not a good habit, but regrettably true) Recently, I was wandering through Hob Lob, and was in the adhesive area, and decided to get a bottle to try out...all I gotta say is GO GET SOME! I love this stuff! It works on everything!

Shopped 'til we dropped..

I am currently using toothpicks to hold my eyelids open, but I wanted to blog before the next couple of fun days pass, and I end up lumping it all into one lame blog...not saying most of my blogs aren't lame anyway :)

Today was a really fun day shopping with Laura and mom in KC! Stopped and got a much needed coffee on the way (hey, it was 7am..I am NOT used to getting up that early) We set out to do some Christmas shopping, and I think it is fair to say we ended up doing more shopping for ourselves than anything! I got a coat from Forever 21, which I am really excited about! It is black and white, and pea coat style. I am sad that my coat from last year is too big, but that is a good problem to have...not complaining. I also got this ruffle vest from Forever 21 that is soo flippin cute! Have a wedding to go to Saturday, so I think I'll sport it then. My plan to find a non-skanky LBD failed..so this should work. And I may or may not have snagged a pair of rinestoned tweezers to buy while waiting in line ;)

Also..I found my new favorite store....Charming Charlie...BE STILL MY HEART!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok, picture this, an accessories store, the size of Forever 21, and almost everything is under $10 (besides the clothes and purses obviously) I cannot even tell you how long we spent in the store, and how many laps I walked around that place! I already have a day planned to go back! My favorite thing I got is this neat/big gold ring.

ooooo, I almost forgot, remember that place Cam and I fell in love with in Vegas..Yogurt Inn?!?! They have a place exactly like it in KC called Yogurt-tini. After I consumed that, I was certain my day couldn't get any better!

I bought several other things, but I can't list them here, because a certain someone will read this, and I'd hate to ruin his Christmas ;)

Well, my 12 hour shopping day has drained me...Target, 2 malls, sushi train, hobby lobby, and a Jo-Anns the size of Hobby Lobby (trust me...its a kick ass Jo-Anns) can't wait for another shopping day soon!

Christmas came early for ME!

Cam gave me the best Christmas present a crafter could ask for...my own craft room!!! I have so much space now it is exciting! I can't wait until I get to use it (tomorrow night!!) I spent all evening tonight putting stuff away in it, it was better than Christmas morning! It is so nice to be able to have everything out so that I can actually see what I have! I have so much stuff that I had forgotten about, because it was packed away.

The left side is my scrapbook area...don't mind the maroon curtain, it is to match the foundation on the outside...I think I'll sew up something to cover up this side tho!

This is the left side, and it is my sewing area! The white shelf on the right is actually a bookcase that my grandpa made. Right now it is a catchall, but as soon as it gets repainted, I will use it for a bookshelf..lord knows I have plenty of books to fill it up!

Friday night craft project

Had a really good weekend! Friday night, I was bored and decided to make this cute sign that I had seen on a blog that I follow... Here is a pic of how it turned out....best part only cost me $2! Thats right... I also picked up the little skeletons to hang from a branch just like she has..now I just need to find that darn branch!

Saturday morning I took another class at the gym, which I don't love doing, but I love the hurts-so-good feeling that it gives me the next day...and the next :) Saturday evening we went to dinner with some of our friends Marty and Jenna and then to Laughing Matters, which is always a fun time!

Then Saturday night I did another overnight for work, which was really bad considering I got no sleep Saturday during the day, so by the time 8am on Sunday rolled around, I look like a hot mess! However, I was able to get 3 movies watched, one of them which was Killers (with Ashton Kutcher) it was really cute!

Sunday morning we had our Sunday coffee date at Kaner, which I look forward to all week long! Then I came home, slept for about 2 hours, and went to a baby shower. After the shower, I went out and started my CHRISTMAS SHOPPING!! WOO-HOO!! I'm so excited to say that I have started! This Saturday I have a shopping date planned with Laura and mom, so hopefully I'll get even more Christmas gifts purchased and marked off my list!

Hopefully this week goes by fast, I have quite a few fun things coming up! Wednesday my gf Katie is coming over to catch up, Friday night is dinner with people from work, then we have the bowl-a-thon for jr.acheivement. Saturday is shopping/sushi date with Laura and mom, and Sunday is my coffee date with Cam!

Have I mentioned how blessed I am, and how much I love my life?!?!

Babies EVERYWHERE!!

3 much anticipated babies all arrived within days of each other! My friend Caitlin from work had her baby boy, Rylen, on Monday. Laura's BFF Des had her baby girl, Reagan, Tuesday, and Cam's sister had her baby boy, Markus Spencer early this morning! I cannot WAIT to snuggle all of these babies!

AND I have a baby shower to go to Sunday! Apparently New Years is a popular time to knock boots? :)

I lost 4.8lbs and Cam lost 2lbs! Even though I am excited I lost a large amount, I am still not thrilled because I am still higher than my lowest weight..so I know I can get lower! Hopefully next week I will be back down to the lowest (would need to lose 3lbs this week)! Still have 22lbs to go and Cam has 15lbs to go before we are at our final goals! We are really excited...as a reward for reaching our goals, we are going to Colorado Springs for a long weekend, and also scheduling a photog session with our fave photographer...Christina! She took the family pics last fall, and now we are excited to go back and get some good ones of just me and Cam!

10.5 hours of scrapbooking? Yes please!!

Now and then Ashley, her aunt Shelee and I get together to scrapbook at Shelee's house, so when the big Memory Expo was coming to town, I thought it would be perfect for us to go! After talking to Shelee and Ashley, Shelee came up with an even better idea..why not save the $, and just reserve the church basement for a day? So, yesterday was the big day! I got started scrapin' at 8:30, and left the church at 7:00! It was such a fun day, and I feel like I got a lot accomplished! I think there were 11 or 12 ladies that came out, it was so cool to see everyone with their cricuts and scrapbooking stuff all spread out! Not to mention, it was nice to visit and have some good laughs!

Today is just a lazy Sunday..Cam got me up when he got home so that we could go for coffee at the place up the streeet, Kaner Coffee (we both agree we like it more than Starbucks..AND its cheaper) now Cam is at Home Depot, and I am getting ready to go look for curtains for our bedroom.

This week is pretty low-key, but some hi-lites are: working off duty at WWE at the Expo..oh dear lord.., Katie is coming over to catch-up and gossip, coffee/breakfast with Lindsey and her main-man Brogan, dinner/Laughing Matters with good friends, and a baby shower!

Laser Hair Removal

So, if you don't know what groupons are...sign up for them..ASAP! (sorry Topeka is lame, and doesn't have this option, but KC is close, and if you go up there half as often as I do..it will be worth it!) Pretty much its an online coupon that is sent to your e-mail. You get one every day, and normally you have 24 to 48 hours to purchase it....they can range from spa services to restaurants..pretty much whatever you click that your interests are.

Well...one of the coupons this week was to a spa up near Zona Rosa for 8 laser hair treatments for $99!! (the coupon said it was a $676 value) HOLY SMOKES...I practically jumped outta my seat! So, I said Merry Christmas to me..and bought it! I can't wait to make my first appointment (and I will as soon as my work figures out which shift they are putting me on...grr) I couldn't decide which I should get done my hoo-ha, or pits...but I guess I don't have to make that decision, because one of the packages covers both areas! And, my sisters friend at work goes to this same spa for her laser hair removal..so I know its legit!

This weekend turned out to be really fun! We actually didn't have many plans, but ended up staying busy, and it was good!

Saturday morning Cam ran his second 5k! I am EXTREMELY proud of him! We often talk about how we used to barely be able to run down to the stop sign at the end of our street without feeling like we were dying, so this feels like such an accomplishment! His run started at 8 at the Combat Air Museum at Forbes. My dad and step-mom Brenda, and Laura all came out shortly after 8 to surprise Cam when he finished his race! It was fun to see the look on his face when he looked over and we were all cheering for him!

Cam shaved about 3 minutes off of his run time as well, and I had bought him a cheap-o sports watch he can use at work and when he works out! (he only owned one with a metal watch band, which is HUGE now and he doesn't know how to take out the links)

After the run, Cam went home to go to sleep (he worked the night before) and Laura and I went to the gym to take a "basic weights" class. HA! I knew I was doomed when the very first thing we did was squats as a warm-up..needless to say, my legs are still hurtin! Laura had me crackin up in class, at one point I turned around and she said "eat your heart out Suzanne Somers"

They really should rename the class to something more like "legs on fire"

After the gym we went thrift store shopping (and TJMaxx...but lets be honest, that place is about as stressful as a garage sale) Laura found this mirrored end table that is really cute that will go in her dressing room...seriously folks..her house is adorable! And also this stand deal (I don't know what its called, its a smaller rectangle cabinet type thing) for her living room, but it needs to be red, and she wants to change the hardware on it to glass knobs..so she has a craft project on her hands! Both of these items were things that Melisa had told her would look great in her place...again..need help with your decor? Call Melisa!

Anywho..Melisa had also told her that on top of this red table she should have lots of silver candlesticks, non-matching. So..we hit up a few thrift stores, and Laura found quite a few at Maj-R-Thrift, and all they need is some TLC that spray-paint can provide! These aren't them..but you get the idea!

I had seen this idea with mason jars, so while we were thrifting..I picked up a few for my craft room Im ~~patiently~~ waiting for. Hey..I didn't say I wasn't appreciative, just very anxious!

After we were done thrifting, it started to rain (really hard) so Laura went back home, and I took a nap. Saturday evening I got to watch a VERY cute little boy, Jaxen! My girlfriend Chelsey and her hubs went out to a birthday party, and I wanted some snuggle time with the little guy! He really made me want a bambino!

Sunday morning, Cam woke me up when he got home from work, and asked me if I wanted to go for coffee! (yes please!) We were going to walk to the coffee shop up the street, but last time we were at Starbucks, Cam saw these reduced-calorie breakfast sandwiches he wanted to try, so we went there instead. We both got one of the sandwiches, which is turkey bacon, white cheddar cheese and egg white on an english muffin..it was good! And then we also got the usual iced latte! I sat there and read my book while Cam read the paper..it was so perfect! Reminded me that I have so much to be thankful for!

After our coffee date, we got home and puttsed around for a while. Then Cam asked me if I wanted to bring my book and go fishing with him. (How could I say no to a face as handsome as his?)

Ps...this is the book series I am currently reading...right now I am on book #3..if you need something to start reading..these are good!

Now Cam is crashed out for the evening, and I am heading to the gym! Hope you all have a good week!

Christmas present before...

Here is the room in the basement that had been filled with random junk. Cam asked me to help him clean it out, and has since requested that I stay out because he is working on part of my Christmas present...a craft room!!!!

Saturday I ran my 2nd 5k with my very best friend in the whole world, Ashley! It was also her 2nd 5k as well! Ashley kept saying she wasn't sure how she was going to do, but that girl got up and ran; I had to convince myself a few times to stay with her pace..not gonna lie, ~~there were a few times~~ most of the time my breathing sounded like Darth Vader!

Ashley couldn't remember what her first 5k time was, and mine was 33 minutes and 33 seconds. I mentioned in another blog that Cam promised me if I beat my time, he would buy me some MAC make-up that I've been wanting!

Drum roll please...............Ashley and I crossed the finish line together at exactly 30 minutes!!! That's 3 minutes and 33 seconds I shaved off my last race time! Thank you Ashley (and Bone Thugs 'N Harmony on Pandora) for keeping my butt going!

I had to put this in here...a guy at work who runs a lot (training for a marathon) told me Friday that I needed to take one of these "gu shots" before I ran Saturday morning, that it would help give us a burst of energy. So I went to Dicks and got a few (one for me and Ash, and one for Cam for his race next Saturday) I wasn't really sure what to expect...I know it wasn't much considering the name of the stuff. It had a bad taste too, which was only made worse by the "flavoring" (blueberry is what we had) and it had the consistency of honey. Ashley only "slammed" (as Cam put it) half of her gu..I don't blame her..often throughout the race I was burping and revisiting the gu taste, which wasn't pleasant. I honestly don't know if it is in my head, or if it really did give me a burst of energy..who knows?

You can't really see me in this pic because of the lady running the clock, but here we are at the finish line!

Hopefully we can go this week to Dillards for my treat ;)

After the run, we stopped by Ag Hall for the Library's Annual book sale. I was able to get quite a few good hardback books that I am trying to get the entire series of (Evanovich, Patterson and Sparks)

I'm so excited!! Do you remember when Cam and I went to Vegas, and hands down, my favorite thing was the Cirque Du Soleil "O" show we went and saw? Well...guess whats coming to Kansas?!?!?!?! A CIRQUE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is called Alegira I just got the tickets last night for me, Cam, Laura and mom all to go!! It is 1.2.11 in Wichita...can't wait!! If you get the opportunity to go, you should so do it...and I don't want to hear it about the $...its worth it!

Had weigh in yesterday, I gained a little over a pound, which is no suprise considering all the time I spent standing in front of the fridge this last week! What is my problem?!?! AHH! Back on the bus this week!

Cam lost 1.8 pounds, which I am very proud of him for doing!!

Nothing too exciting going on this week; other than Saturday when Ashley and I both run our 2nd 5k!! This is silly, but Cam told me if I beat my first 5k time (33mins) then he will buy me the make-up I've been needing/wanting from MAC (I know..you can get it other places for cheaper..but I just love their stuff!) because I am too much of a tight-wad currently to buy it myself. Hopefully he is able to get off of work on time and root us on at the finish line!

After the run, I think we are going to go to the book sale that the library is putting on at the Expo..I love me some books. Then it is home to sleep because this dummy signed up for some overnight security hours from 6pm Saturday night to 8am Sunday morning...can we say coffee?? O-well, I get paid in cash at the end of the night, and I'm putting that money aside for Christmas since there are only 7 PAYCHECKS LEFT until Christmas (not counting the one on Christmas eve...lets be real..what shopping are you getting done on Christmas Eve?)

Funday Monday

Monday Cam and I both had the day off work, so we decided to make it a date day...which sorta turned into date night..lol.

Monday morning Cam woke up bright and early and went fishing with his buddies. I woke up, went for a run, and then met Ashley and a long-time friend of ours, Jamie, for coffee at Panara.

After Panera, I went to Hob Lob, and got a bunch of random things...stuff for scrapbooking, since I have that all-day scrap coming up in October that I've been waiting months for!! Some ribbon for different projects, like this cool crinkle/tag blanket I made for my girlfriends baby shower. This isn't exactly what mine looks like (I failed to take pics of mine) but I wanted to give credit, since I didn't think of the idea myself..I need inspiration for most of my projects..thank you blog world for providing that! And I also snagged some wood hanger things to make closet organizers with for the baby shower! These aren't mine..but again..giving credit..(I've been noticing more bloggers doing this..so I thought I'd better so nobody was offended if they saw me use their project)

After Hob Lob, I came home and waited for my SEXY Cam to get home so we could spend some quality time together. After he got home, (I'm warning you...we can be lame) we got out the bucket/soap and shop vac, and we washed our cars and cleaned out the insides (much needed!) then we got cleaned up and went to dinner! Here is a pic of us before we left..

Cam has been craving wings..and I've never had them (sheltered apparently) so we went to BWW. It was pretty good, but when you aren't used to eating like poop, it makes you feel so guilty/disgusting, so it was good, but I can't say the taste out-weighed the guilt..does that make any sense?

After dinner, we weren't sure what we were gonna do, so we drove around at Lewis Toyota and looked at trucks for Cam, and I drooled over new cars.. Then we rolled thru the $2 movie and saw that Grown Ups was playing, and decided to go see it. It was really cute..I told Cam when we left, if we had paid at the expensive movie (what we call it) to see Grown Ups, I wouldn't have been too happy, but for $2, it was cute!

Ok, so here is the best part of the day... after the movies, we came home, and Cam asked me to go downstairs and help him empty the spare room (which is PACKED with all my sewing/scrapbooking/random craft projects) he said that he was going to start working on part of my X-mas present...creating a craft room for me!!! He told me that I wasn't allowed in that room until it is done! I am soooo excited! I took some before pics, and once it gets done I'll post before/after pics!

Its a pretty low-key week this week...my girlfriend Lindsey is coming over to have another craft night tomorrow, Thursday I am working late for some OT, Friday I have an apt to donate blood, Saturday I work security all day at Sesame Street Live (you laugh, but its damn good $..so sign me up Elmo!) and Sunday I have a baby shower to go to! All in all..a good week!

First ever 5k!!!!!!!!!!

Today was the big day!!! Laura, Cam and I all ran our first ever 5k together! It was at the Royal's stadium, and you ran the 3.1 miles around the parking lots, and behind the Cheifs stadium, thru the tunnel, and you finshed on Royals home plate..so cool! Everyone that crossed the finish line was on the jumbo-tron!

Even though we all ended up splitting up during the run to run at our own paces, Cam finished at 32 minutes, and Laura and I finished at 33. (We question the time because there were 1000s of people there, so there is no way everyone could have started right at 8am..so we guess our actual time was under what was on the big timer at the end)

After the race they had SOOOOO much free food! Everything from ice cream, to hot dogs, to granola bars, to fruit, to breakfast smoothies from Sheridans.. yum! (thats not even naming 1/4 of what was there to eat)

All-in-all, it was great first experience, and I can't wait to run my next one on the 18th with Ashley! Cam told me today that he is possibly signing us up for an Air-Force 5k at the end of the month also, so there may be a 3rd run too!

I know they say that you should never compare yourself to anyone else (I'm speaking as far as body types..) but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the show Biggest Loser and I fell in love with Stephanie from last season. Anyway, I found this pic, and now Im obsessed with it (yes..its printed off in my planner..and if you know me..that planner never leaves my side)

On with the picture...Stephanie is 5'8, just like me, and in her before picture, she weighed 262lbs (my highest weight was 260+) and in her after picture, she weighs 163lbs..and my final goal is 160! So...needless to say, this seems very realistic to me! I have 19lbs to go..so help keep me on track so I can look as hot as Stephanie here!

Last night Katie came over to catch-up, and brought The Back-up Plan for us to watch! It is such a cute movie! If you are thinking about renting it..it is worth it!

I didn't end up getting a purse last night..I didn't fall in love with any of them. I had one in mind that I wanted, and when I didn't find it, I was disappointed. O-well...

This weekend is going to be nice and relaxing! A few errands, a run, then going to lay out at the pool all day and read my book. I think tomorrow night a couple of girlfriends are going to come over and watch a movie as well!

Babys got a new pair of shoes!

Tuesday night, I got off work and went to Great Plains running to get fitted for running shoes. I was so upset when I got there, and found out they have gone out of business! A guy at work had been telling me about a place in Lawrence http://www.garrygribbles.com/ that I could go to get fitted. So, Wednesday night I went up there, blah blah blah, got fitted, and these are the shoes I came home with! They aren't the cutest things, but I will only wear them when running/working out..so I guess it doesn't matter really. Not to mention, they were orig. $100 something, and clearanced out at $69!! Sold!

Also, my sweet girlfriend Allison is always wearing the cutest clothes (and of course I'm always pestering her as to where they came from) anyways, she had on this adorable green/purple dress in one of her pics, and said she got it from Target this summer. So, in all my free time at work, I was trying to find it online, but was unsuccessful. I ended up stopping by Target while I was out and about this week, and guess what I found on the clearance rack for $5!!!!!!!!!!!!! You got it..the dress! I was stressed tho, because they only had a szs M and XXL; I thought I'd take my chances and try the medium, and I could always use it as a "goal" dress (hey..why not? $5!) but the medium FIT!! I was so happy I could have danced!! I would have added a pic on here, but like I said...I couldn't find the thing online anywhere!

Tonight Ashley and I are off to a purse party at our gf Emily's. I really want a fun purse, so hopefully I'll be back with another post on my purchase tonight at the party!!

Its Monday again...I lost 1.8lbs, and Cam lost 3.5! Although we are both happy we lost... we are both hoping for much higher numbers next week!

Also, Monday nights are our "cheat" nights if we both lose at WLC. Tonight we met up with Cam's dad at Jose Peppers for dinner...food was good, service SUCKED a fatty...

Tomorrow is work, and I am going after work to get tested/fitted for running shoes. I know it sounds lame, but I am really looking forward to it, my hips will be very excited to have some relief!

Also, running the 5k in 12 days!! We timed it this am, and we'd like to be able to shave off a few minutes, and be able to run it in 30 minutes or less...we will see. I am also running the Washburn Alumni 5k with Ashley on the 18th! I love this new hobby (and I haven't even ran one yet..lol) I got some information on a Mud Run this Saturday in Missouri, but I have nobody that can go with me...if you know of anyone that wants to...let me know!! If not, we will just have to wait until the next one!

I think I failed to mention, a couple of weeks ago, Cam suprised me and sent me flowers to work! It made my day!

Onto today...I woke up this am after only a few hours of sleep (thank you lame rap concert at the Expo) and went to my sisters BFF's baby shower in KC. Then mom, Laura and I all went for sushi in downtown Lawrence...melt my heart, I could have stayed there all day, it was yumm-o! Here is a pic of me and Laura at Yokohamas; I should have taken one of our food!

After we rolled out of the booth, mom wanted a "non-old lady purse" so we took her to Target where her and Laura found her a cute purple purse...meanwhile, rude me was shopping for myself, and found this fun new wallet (sorry for the small pic..its all I could find) Im sure it will look cute with a fun new purse from Emily's purse party I'll be going to Thursday!

After Target, we went to see Eat.Pray.Love....it was good!! Of course, movies NEVER compare to the book, so much is left out, but I would go see it again! Laura told us on the way out, even the old man next to her was crying...I think if you've gone through a major life changing event (divorce especially) you will be able to relate to this much more!

I better get for now, tomorrow is the waxing party! I'll be so glad to have my armpits non-european again!

This week at Worlds of Fun is free for law enforcement/military!! So... I took today off so that Cam and I could go! Unfortunately..we woke up to rain. We decided to wait until after lunch to see if it cleared off, then head to KC. When we got to WOF, it was a ghost town! There was barely anyone there, and no rain..only cloudy with a nice breeze!! So, in less than 2 hours, Cam and I had gone around the entire park twice, riding all the coasters that we like! We had to wait in no lines..it was nice!
I was so excited for Cam, he finally got the guts up to try the detonator..and he liked it! He said it wasn't as bad as he thought it was going to be! I still couldn't convince him to get on the Mamba tho, so I had to do that one alone! (With the 50+ year old man behind me telling me to get my arms in the air..lol) Cam told me "maybe next year" I told him great...he will probably luck out and get out of it if I'm knocked up! (fingers crossed/prayers answered)

I can't quite figure him out tho...he is too nervous to ride the Mamba, but his favorite is the Patriot, which we rode over and over and over and over! I don't mind...as long as I'm not front row. What is it with roller coasters the older you get? Is it you realize you have more to lose?

It is back to work tomorrow :( Tomorrow night I'm heading over to Ash's to see her and the kiddos. Thursday I work a couple of hours overtime; Friday I will be at Kela's scentsy party (if you have never bought scentsy...you should check it out..good stuff!) and then I am working at the expo at a rap concert until 3am...don't ask..I signed up for it before I knew what exactly I'd be working...should be interesting.
Saturday I am looking forward to the MOST! I'm going to KC in the morning (I think I should move there as much as we go!) for Laura's friend Des's baby shower...we got her so much cute stuff, IM excited for her to have it! After the shower, mom, Laura and I are going to Lawrence for lunch at Yokohama's (an INCREDIBLE sushi place from what I've been told) and then we are going to see Eat Pray Love. After I get back to town, Jess at work is having a "gathering" as he calls it at his place, so that could get interesting.
Sunday is my waxing party, which I am looking forward to...mainly to get this wild beast that has been growing in my armpits taken care of, and of course, to see some girlfriends! TMI...I'm sure..

welp, thats it for this week..I will probably chat again on Monday after the weigh in!

ps...excited for LOTS of reasons to get to goal weight (me 160 or less, Cam 215 or less) but one of the big ones is, when we reach our goal, we are having our fave photographer (ok..one of our faves..I don't want to dis-credit Bruce) take our pics!

Hey guys! Cam and I just got back from walking around Lake Shawnee, enjoying this AMAZING weather we are having this weekend! I was heading into the living room to watch our Sunday night line-up (True Blood, Kourtney and Klohe take Miami, etc...) when I remembered that I would blog once a week! So..here I am!

This weeks hi-lites were:

Monday: Cam and I started our second Weight Loss Challenge (WLC) so we will weigh in every Monday. (not gonna lie...not looking forward to tomorrow)

Wednesday:I went over to Ashleys and spent some time with Blake (Addi was asleep :( ) while Scott and Ashley had a ball game. I just LOVE that little guy so much. It is so funny some of the things that come out of his mouth..like when he asked me why my hair was white and black (the peak-a-boo hair with blond on top of dark underneath) or when we couldn't find his jammies (he wasn't looking too hard while he was jumping on the bed;) so I put him in a t-shirt and couldn't figure out why it didn't look right, and he looked completely disgusted. lol, until I finally figured out that one of his arms was thru the correct arm hole, and the other was thru a hole in the armpit

Thursday: Cam and I both had an eye Dr. apt at our new optomitrist's office...Dr. Swader!! Derek and I have known each other since we were kids, and went to CCD together. I really liked him as my eye dr, he took his time (unlike Lenahan, who's motto is quantity over quality) I was happy to find out my vision hadn't changed (second year in a row, woo-hoo!)

Saturday: OCEANS OF FUN!! Cam, Laura, Jay and I all went to Oceans of Fun for the day. It was so nice outside, not too hot! We had so much fun, I think everyone's favorite ride was this one..

we would just crack up, and I loved it! We packed our lunch and had a little pinic under the shade trees, it was nice! Cam and I came home and we were pooped! How lame..we were sound asleep by 9pm (and no, this isn't us in the pic, I didn't take a camera :(

Tomorrow our couch is delivered! I am really excited, but sad that my adorable chair isnt going to be with it. o-well, it beats sitting on camping chairs!

First ever romper...almost

Before I get started on the romper topic...I have to talk about Cam for a second. HE IS SO AMAZING!! We have wedding to go to tonight, and he/I realized mid-week that his dress-up clothes now look like "soup salad" as we say (Def of soup salad-your clothes look big and sloppy)

So Friday rolls around, and Cam still has not gone shopping (love the guy, but a bit of a procrastinator) but, it all worked out! I was at work, a PD detective stopped by and gave me a coupon to Khols for 15% of purchase...so off to Kohls we went after work. Ok, ok..I'll make my point...Cam went from wearing a 3X shirt to wearing a XL....and his waist size you ask? 38 baby! I am sooooooo verrrry proud of him! We start our second weight loss challenge Monday, so hopefully we both get closer to our goals!

Ok..onto the Romper. While Cam was shopping, I was browsing, and found a couple of rompers. I had never tried them on before (I am a FIRM believer, unless you have bird skinny legs, or your legs are toned thanks to dedication at the gym...you do not need to be wearing shorts...EVER (unless they are gym shorts...) anyways....so I grabbed a couple of these rompers to try on, not to buy, because I still don't meet the qualifications..my legs need some toning fo sho! Anyways, the first one, that was sleeveless, like your normal tank-top style, was waaay too big, the bottom part fit over my booty-thighs great, but the top was so big (because of lack of boobage) I could have fit another human up there..soo..strike one.

Onto the second one (see the attached picture..the one in the top right corner..in black) OMG, I feel in LOVE! It was sooo cute, and fit so well (may I please toot a little horn here..Im no longer trying on sizes with X anywhere on the tag...thanks) anyways...Ive decided that next spring/summer, I'll get a romper! I think that will be one of my many motivations on toning up my legs, so there won't be any reason not to buy it!

Off to get ready for Culver's wedding...hopefully I get a couple of pics of Cam in his new outfit! (my dress will be a repeat of the flapper dress, because I refuse to buy any new clothes for at least another 10lbs)

CRAIGSLIST! OMG! It started when we started redecorating the house. I realized that I wouldn't need a coffee table and a set of end tables that had been taking up space in the basement, so I posted them on craigslist, and NO LIE within a few hours, had over 8 responses!!!

So, met up with the guy the following day, and had that beautiful green cash in my hand...and so the addiction began (if you know me at all..I never have cash, I just pay with stuff with my checkcard, so this cash in hand was an awesome feeling, it was like a free-for-all because it wasn't money that was dedicated to a bill or anything responsible! FUN!

So, my list of items sold on Craigslist is:

coffee table/end tables
patio set
sheer curtains (people buy ANYTHING)
curtain rods

I still currently have a king sized metal bed frame for sale (which I just received an e-mail today, someone inquiring) and several other decor items. Almost daily I walk thru the house and look around for stuff I may not need, that someone else might buy! It is so fun!!

Let me know if you are going to throw anything away, I may just take it off your hands and sell it! HA!

So, I told my friend Allison that I have decided to force myself to get into the habit of one day a week (at least), blogging so that I don't get this far behind again! Yikes!!

I'll try to do a brief run-down of events since my birthday

For those of you who don't know..I took my house off the market. After a while of being on, I gave it some thought, and I decided why not stay here, and have fun (try to save money) while I didn't have any responsibilities (ie..kids) so...I'm still on Roosevelt until..who knows when?

Since I'm staying, I decided to redecorate the entire house. My very design-talented friend, Melisa, came over and had awesome ideas of what we needed to do with the place as far as paint/furniture/decor...so all the credit to her! Those pics will come later, since we are still waiting on furniture to be delivered! If you are needing help with suggestions on what to do with your house, or just changing things up a bit..I can give you her contact info. My sister hired her, and is in love with all of the fun ideas Melisa has given her!

First, Cam ripped up the carpet and first layer of hardwood floors, and we had http://www.michaelshardwoodfloors.com/ come and refinish the flooring in the 2 bedrooms/hall, and put down all new oak floors in the living/dining area. We couldn't be more pleased with how they turned out! Here are some pics.

Cameron celebrated his 28th birthday in May! We had a BBQ at Lake Shawnee with friends and family, it was a good time!

At work, I was taken off of patrol, and sentenced, I mean sent to the courthouse. I should return to patrol in November/December..I can't wait! (Its a seniority based thing) but if I have to say one positive thing about it...I am able to read a lot of good books this summer! Ha!
We bought an older fishing/tubing boat from my uncle. We have gotten a lot of use out of 'ol blue this summer! Not to mention a lot of our dinners were caught thanks to Cam and the boat :)

Cam and I went to Vegas for a few days! Cam's brother, Gabe and Gabe's gf Jamie joined us there. (I would post more of those pics, but there are way too many, and as many of you know, posting pics on blogger isn't exactly a speedy process) if you are my FB friend, you can check them out there!

Cam, Laura, Laura's friend Jay, Dad, Bren and I all spent a few days up at Dad and Bren's lake house in the Ozarks. It was so nice to relax and be out on the water all day with them! I must point out that Cam was never successful at throwing me or Laura off of the tube! And everyone jumped off of the platfrom on the roof of the dock..thank you alcohol-induced bravery! :) I will post pics of this later, they have yet to be developed (and yes..I said developed, I took a disposable camera on the boat for obvious reasons)

I have decided to grow my hair out (random fun fact)

I spent Saturday with Laura and Mom in KC, we went shopping, out to lunch (of course we went to sushi train!) and spent the evening sewing fun, hot pink pillows for Lauras newly decorated bedroom! (again...props to Melisa)

Saturday morning Kela, Lindsey and I all met up at the Farmers Market! It was so hot, but I got hella produce and I was super excited about it! Kela was a trooper and pushed my GIGANTIC cantaloupes around in her stroller while I carried the corn and tomatoes! Nothing is better than fresh produce!

Sunday Laura and I went to our Aunt's Pampered Chef party. I ordered a deal that scrapes the corn off of the cob for you (I currently hand cut it off, I'm not a caveman, so I don't prefer to eat my corn directly off of the cob) and I ordered 3 wooden kitchen utensils!

I know I have left out a lot of other things that Cam and I have done, but I think I have covered some of the hi-lights! Here are some things I have to look forward to in the next Month and a half:

And last but CERTAINLY not least, I wanted to take a second to point out how EXTREMELY PROUD I am of Cameron! He has been working so hard at losing weight/getting healthy. When we first started dating, he was 296lbs, he has lost 56POUNDS!!!!!!!!!! If you have not seen him lately..hes dead sexy! We have both participated in a 12 week weight loss challenge, mine ended a couple of weeks ago, and I took 2nd place, and won $, and Cam's ended today, and he won the most inches lost 33.25 inches, in his group, and also won $! We both have quite a ways to go, so we are starting another challenge on Monday...please check back in with me, and help keep me accountable! Here is what I hope we look like when we've reached our goals! lol...jk, but a girl can dream, right?

I will start this blog out by saying I have the most amazing, thoughtful, selfless boyfriend...ever. For my birthday, he planned a special day, and for the most part, kept it a suprise. For those of you who know Cam, keeping a secret is not easy for him :)

I will fill you in on the birthday festivities, but first, I must tell you about Fwannie. As I had told you before, my 9 year baby girl, had surgery on my birthday. She had "stinotic nares" surgery, it pretty much opened her wittle nosey so she could breath better. More importantly (for anyone within 5 feet of her) she got her teeth cleaned!! They were nasty. Just to give you an idea, they had to remove 4 teeth that were causing crowding, and allowing HAIR to get stuck inbetween them. (insert barfing noise here) Anyways, here she is after surgery, if you look closely, you can see the blue strings/stitches in her nosey..

Ok, onto the fun part. So, Cam had secretly been planning my birthday. Of course, I blew it when I scheduled Fwannie surgery on my birthday, not knowing there was anything planned. So, we had to drop her off the night before. Anyways...for my birthday, Cam got me this necklace that I had been wanting for a while...I LOVE it!

Then, a couple days before my bday he tells me that he had made plans for us. He had gotten us a hotel at Ameristar in KC! So, the day before my b-day we drove up to KC, stopped at Legends on the way to do a tad bit of shopping. Are you sitting down?.... I didnt buy anything! Then we went on to the hotel, Cam had gone to the liquor store and got "supplies" for the night of fun! Then we got ready, went to dinner, and Cam gave me $ to gamble, knowing full good and well that I would NOT spend my own $ gambling :) So, I ventured out a tried something new, and didn't do slots, but I sat and played black jack! It was so much fun!! I even went over and played craps with Cam, and got to throw the dice (even though I don't fully understand what was happening)

Here is Cam making one of the bathroom sinks into a cooler of sorts..Oh, and we made a new drink, its UV blue and the blue Monster drink...it turns green, so we named it the green dragon!

Ok, so if you know me, you know my hair is super straight, a curling iron is worthless on this mop, b/c it just falls back to straight in an hours time...so before bed I showered b/c I smelled like a smokey casino, and I decided to roll tiny sections of my hair into little buns all over my head, in hopes that when I woke up, it would be curly!! FAIL...I woke up, took out all the bobby pins, and I looked like I stuck my finger in a socket! Yikes!

So, after I got this hair under control, we headed back to Topeka, had lunch, and Cam had gotten me a birthday cake from coldstone, some coffee lovers ice cream, and a card (up until my bday, I had never received a card from Cam) Inside the card was a handwritten note (the best part was that he had gotten into my scrapbooking stuff and used stickers and rinestones on the card) saying that he had made reservations for us on April 7th to go to Row House, a shmancy resturaunt I have been wanting to try, but they are only open Wed-Sat (Cam works all those days) well, he will be in training during the day that week, so he will be off the 7th evening with me!

It was a BEAUTIFUL day out, so we decided to enjoy outside, and go to the lake and drop a pole in and see what we could catch. End result....nada

Before we go to the next picture, I must explain that I was CLUMSY on my b-day...not sure why. So, we are on this dock, had a couple of lawn chairs set up, and Cam's bucket to put his fish in (it was empty) so I stand up and am doing God knows what, and I fell, not just tripped, I full on face dove, onto the dock..I've got bruises as proof. In the process, I knocked the bucket into the water. Cam was more concerned about that bucket than me laying there like a dummy! It was sooo funny, you had to be there. Anyway, I made it my goal to get that darn bucket! While I was trying...apparently Cam was taking pics..

I think I forgot to mention in my last couple of blogs that the DD girls got together for breakfast at Panera and then went out for pedicures. Next month we are going to Lindsey's musical RENT!

We went to the FREEZING cold St.Patrick's Day parade and hung out with great friends all day!

And to keep those of you who dont know up-to-date, the house has been on the market for 11 days, and has had 5 showings, and 1 offer. The offer wasn't do-able (we would have had to pay $5000, so we will just keep praying that someone else comes along and it works for all of us! But, Im a true believer in stuff being jinxed, so, until something is in writing, and money is on the table, my lips are sealed...when I bought this house I didn't tell anyone until the day we closed, and that seemed to work well for me, so we will see if it works for selling it too!

This morning, I woke up..yea, thats right, I said morning...9am thank you very much! Anyways..Cam and I went and worked out, went and got a bite for lunch, and ran a couple of errands. After I got home, I was feeling crafy, and not really in the mood to get dressed, so I started sewing.

First I started working on a camera strap that Lindsey asked me to make...I hope she likes it, I thought it turned out cute! I love the pattern with the stripes on the underside..

I have been wanting to make a new ironing board cover, and was lovin this fabric...I am too embarassed to show a picture of the previous board cover...just trust me that it desperately needed replaced!

And this growth chart..I didn't make it today, I made it Thursday, but thought I would share anway. When my bf Ashley's first born, Blake turned 1, I made him one, and its been fun to see how much he has grown in 2 years. Well, now that her little Addison is turning 1 this week, I made her one too!

Frannie (or Fwannie if you are talking to her in baby talk, as I always do) had a normal check up at the vet today. She got all of her shots, got more heart worm meds, etc. The vet looked at her nose, and said that, as most pugs/boxers do, frannie is having a hard time breathing, and in the long run, this could cause an enlarged heart. She said that a procedure, similar to rhinoplasty would need to be done to help this. Also, Frannie's teeth are DISGUSTING! (Almost to the point of embarassment when she looked at them) so March 30th, my baby is going in for rhinoplasty and a good deep teeth cleaning, which will, more than likely, result in teeth being pulled..ugh, I feel so bad for her (and my checking account)

So last time we chatted, we just wrapped up our Valentines Day dinner..

A LOT has happened since..isn't it crazy how one day you're bored and the next day you feel like there aren't enough hours in the day?

Here are some things, small and BIG that have been happening in our life!

Actual Valentines Day rolled around, and we went to church. After church we took some goodie bags over to the neices and nephews, and then went out to lunch with Molly and some other friends.

I had a much needed hair appointment! I get so excited to get my hair cut/colored!

We met up with some of Cam's friends, Marty and his gf Jenna (crazy, I know..AND we have the same initals..JML) and Gilbert, for some mexican food. Since Cam and I both had the night off, Cam and I went to Sharkeys (where his brother, Gabe, is a bartender) and had a few drinks

I went and saw Valentines Day with Chelsey, its a cute movie!

I got together with Molly and had a sewing night! It was a lot of fun! You should head over to her page and check out her awesome dress she made!

While I was at the shower, Cam was at church for the men's breakfast, where the theme was get 'er done. Cam said his assignment was to check and see if the bathroom sink was leaking..and it wasn't, so I guess he just went for the breakfast, and less of the get 'er done part :) It is such a good feeling being involved with our church!

After the shower was over, a few of us girls went and saw Dear John; TOTAL DISAPPOINTMENT! I read the book, and the movie didn't hold a candle to the book....if you're dying to see it, wait, redbox it instead!

After the movie, Molly and Gerrad had several of us over for dinner. Let me advise you that I am not a fan of BBQ, I like bbq'd burgers and brauts, but nothing slathered in bbq sauce..just not something I love. Well... Gerrad Hall (molly's hub) makes AH-MAZE-ING ribs. Seriously, if there weren't other people there, I probably would have been sucking every last morsel off of those bones! I even woke up the next morning thinking about those ribs...he is definitley gonna have to make those again! Or maybe even teach Cam!

And.. our BIG news..(no, no bambino or ring, don't even try) we had a realtor, Barb Banman come over today to check out the house, and it goes on the market MONDAY!!!!! I have SO MUCH TO DO before then! Its such a crazy feeling! I am nervous, anxious, scared, stressed, etc. Cam and I keep talking that it is in God's hands now, and since he sees the big picture, and we don't, all we can do is leave it up to him, and trust that what happens, is happening for a reason! Lets just hope God remembers my bank account doesn't want to be depleted for this :)

tonight I posted 2 of our computer desks on craigslist and facebook, and within 45 minutes they were both gone! Thats so awesome, I was at Home Depot thinking "wouldn't it be cool if this is how quickly the house goes too?" So tomorrow I will be setting those out on the porch for the new owners!

Ok, well, I need to get started on this list of stuff to accomplish prior to Monday, so Im outta here.

Also, if you would, say a prayer for Cam and I that we are able to sell the house without a hitch, and when the time is right, we are able to find our "forever home" together!

Saturday I took the first few hours of work off, so that I could go shopping with some girlfriends in KC. It was soo much fun!! These are some pics at the Cheesecake Factory (I had never been, and OMG, I love it!)

Lindsey and Molly, I clicked the camera a few seconds too soon, and this was the result...pirates!!

Monday Cam and I celebrated our Valentines Day, since I will be working this weekend. It was such a good day, I stayed in my jammies all day and scrapbooked, and Cam watched some TV, and played on the computer next to me. We went to Kikus for dinner, and spent our "50 Dawars" gift card we got for Christmas (yes, that is exactly what the gift card said!) and then came home and drank a bottle of wine and snuggled on the couch. I did not want this day to end!

Tuesday we had another day off together. We went and drove around and looked at a few houses (just for fun, and to get some ideas :) We went and saw Avatar, LOVE LOVE LOVED it!! Such an awesome movie, I want to go see it again in the theatre before it leaves! After the movie we went and picked up Chipotle and took it over to Molly & Gerrads and sat around and BSd. It was a good night!

I hope you have a good week. I am looking at my planner now, and nothing is on the schedule until next week, my much needed cut/color, and my movie date with Chelsey to go see Valentines Day!

Don't really have anything new from today, but I wanted to take a second to say how happy I am with where my life is right now!! God is amazing, we have found a church to call home, Cam is wonderful, I have friends that I LOVE to call friends, and know that they would do anything for me, and we have a roof over our heads, and careers that pay our bills, and then some. I know we are truly blessed, and for that, I am thankful.

Sunday/Monday were my days off, and I really enjoyed them (especially b/c they were Cam's days off too!)

Sunday started with church, which we have completely fallen in love with! Now we just need a baby to complete the package....j/k!!

Then we ran a few errands, and Cam came home and put up guttering on the back porch, and I worked on some crafts! He did such a good job, especially for never having done it before..

Then Monday we ran more errands (I often wonder how 2 people with no children can have so many errands..it may have something to do with my shopping addiction, but I highly doubt it ;) went to Cam's nephew, Kyler's ball game. Then it was time to go to my first Monday (bc I am always working) night Bachelor watching!! We ordered out Thai for dinner and then we ate our body weight in snickers, twizzlers and sour patch kids.

So Molly has started a disaster! As if I needed more stuff to spend $ on, Molly perked my interest (again) in sewing. So, I wanted to share some things I have created. (In addition to those K-state pants that didn't bring Cameron any luck in tonights game ;)

This is a rag/denim quilt I made last year, it was a lot of work, but I really like it! Nice and heavy, good to curl up on the couch with!

And these camera straps were Molly's idea. She (bravely) asked me to sew her one. So, I made us both one, I thought they turned out pretty cute!!

So, I was raised Catholic. However, when I got divorced from Cecil, I felt like I had "sinned" in the church's eyes. Suddenly I couldn't receive communion, and if I ever decided to remarry, it would not be recognized by the church, unless I wanted to pay $500 for an annullment. And, Heaven forbid I have children...Anyways, I started the paperwork long ago to get the annullment process rolling, but the whole thing left me with a bad feeling inside....afterall, didn't we come together for one reason, to worship God?

Anyways, one day I came home from work, and told Cam that I wanted to talk to him about something. So, we sat down, and I asked him what he thought about finding a church that we could start going to together, and he looked at me and said that he had been thinking the same thing recently!!!!! It was such an awesome feeling!!

So, one thing lead to another, and Molly invited Cam and I to come to their church, Grace Community Church. So, last Sunday, Cam and I went. I will admit, I was nervous, just because I had no idea what to expect! I was very pleasantly suprised to find that it was completely relaxed, no pressure, no judging church. Heck, half the people were in jeans and t-shirts! Turns out, I played on a traveling ball team with the pastor's daughter in jr.high, and several people I work with attend there as well!
Cam and I left after service was over and were very happy! The pastor, Terry was very down to earth, didn't act like he was better than anyone else, and we were able to relate to his sermon in several different areas of our lives!

We will definitley be regulars now at Grace! Thanks again Molly for inviting us!!

I had really been looking forward to today! My mommacita came to town, and helped me learn sew! I have sewn a few things, but never anything using a pattern. I decided to make Cam some pj bottoms. I was excited with how they turned out. I am not sure if I should be insulted or not, but Cam acted very suprised by how good they looked! lol

After the pants were done, we ordered some pizza, and watched a movie! It was such a nice day.

We didn't have time today for pillows, but now we just have another excuse to get together!

Having said that, I have been really wanting a clutch, just hadn't been able to find one that didn't look like I was going to jr.prom. Well, today I found a really cute one, and it was half off! Saturday was a really fun day! That afternoon we had a birthday party at the skating rink to go to (one of Cam's cousins) It was fun skating! Brought back a lot of memories, that is for sure! Cam's little neice, Bella was so funny "teaching" me how to skate. I had to laugh when she told me to "try to speed it up a little on the next lap" I just love those kids!

After we got home from the skating party, Cam went to bed (since he works nights) and I started getting ready for my girlfriend, Kela's hubby's suprise 30th birthday party at the Rooster Tail. It was a lot of fun, made me wish I had more weekends off!

Woo-hoo! Im on my 3 day weekend! I have discovered that me being off isn't always a good thing...I go shopping...ALL day! Oh well, I deserve it after the work week I put in!

Ok, so first of all, I am sharing my shopping day with you b/c Cam sleeps all day (he works nights) So, I start off my day, and I am driving Cam's Exploder (Explorer) and Im on I70, and you know how when its all slushy out like this, you have to clear your windshield like every minute b/c it gets so dirty, well...Mr. Murray was OUT of wiper fluid! Yea..there was some definite panic when i couldnt see!! I had to roll down the window at one point and look out..it was a disaster! I found the closest car wash, and went through it, and then went and got some fluid!

So, I bought a ton of stuff today, but my favorite thing is this CUTE 3/4 length bomber jacket..its so adorable! Here is what it kinda looks like, sans the gold zipper on it

I also found a CUTE pink scarf hanging on the clearance rack, so it was $6..love a bargain!

A girlfriend of mine just had a baby girl, and she is into scrapping like I am, so instead of getting her stuff for her baby, I got her a bunch of fun baby girl scrapping supplies..it was fun shopping for that stuff! (And of course I had to get myself some scrappin stuff too ;)

Well, Im off to go workout before I fall asleep..been a long day. Im excited for tomorrow, more errands, and lunch with Cam's friends, Marty and Jenna!

WE FINALLY BOOKED OUR TRIP!! We will be in Vegas from June 3-7! I am so excited, I cant hardly wait!! The only thing I know for sure we are doing is going to a Cirque Du Soleil "O" show, everything else will just be by the seat of our pants!! Im so excited, its all I can think about!!

And NO, we aren't going there to get married! I told Cam the only way it would happen is if it were The Hangover style, and we would bring everyone back a mug and trucker hat! ;)

So...it wasn't really a Happy New Year for me, but I am determined not to let that be the "start" of my New Year. NYE, I came down with the flu...badly! I was so very sick...I spent the night on the bathroom floor folks, and Cam was at work :( nothing like dying alone!

Anyways, Cam suprised me New Years morning when he got here with diet 7up, chicken noodle soup, and roses! Does life get better than this?....Im certain it doesn't.

Christmas Weekend

Since Cameron and I both had to work over Christmas, it worked out better to do almost all of our Christmas festivities the weekend before..

Also, you'll notice that Amber, my "Denver sister" is missing from all of the photos...she hadn't (shes recovering well now) been doing so well, and had to have heart surgery at the end of last month. So, she wasn't able to travel b/c of the meds and risk for infection and such...we missed her so much!

After Laura's graduation, we stayed the night in KC with her. We weren't planning on opening gifts until the next day, but apparently the 5 year old in Laura kicked in, and she couldn't take it any longer!

This picture is so funny, if you could only hear what she was saying, you'd be laughing too...They have this HUGE dog, Oaro, which is a German Wirehaired Pointer, but they say it funny, and when she got this calendar, she was saying it (however it is) and I caught her mid word..

I got cricut mats (for scrapbooking) and the comforter I've been wanting from Laura!

The next morning we woke up bright and early (folks...Im talkin EARLY! Im certain the sun wasn't out...Laura doesn't know what sleeping in means) Mom, Laura and I all got started on making our Christmas goodies..we made dark and white chocolate covered pretzels, turtles, sugar cookies, peanut brittle, peanut butter balls, cheese cake bites (that looked like presents) and haystacks. It was a lot of fun! After the cooking was done, we all went out for sushi at my FAVORITE sushi train, (cam ordered off the menu...wimp) and then we went and saw Christmas Carol. It was such a fun couple of days!

Saturday morning, back in Topeka, it was up and at 'em again. We had Christmas at Cam's extended family in the morning, they normally do a white trash white elephant..which gets pretty funny!

Kyler, Deuce, Peanut & Bella...Dallas is in a hi-chair right behind me. And yes, these are all Wendy's kids..

After gifts were opened, we all sat around and played board games, it was a blast! Can't wait to start getting together often for family game night!

Monday, it was on to dad's house for more Christmas action...

I got a bunch of awesome stuff, my favorite was this new printer that you can plug your camera into the front of it, and print your pics!

December 18th, my sister, Laura graduated from UMKC with her degree in Accounting. (gag..my brain hurts just thinking about it) She starts next week on her masters program..Im so proud of her!

Thanksgiving Holiday

I was so lucky, my 3 day weekend happened to fall on Thanksgiving weekend. I had Thursday, Friday and Saturday off!

Thursday at noon we went to my dads house for Turkey dinner, and at 3 we went to Cam's cousin, Brandi's house for more food. We were SO stuffed! After Brandi's we came home, popped Elf in the DVD player, looked thru all the ads, and planned our stops!

Toys R Us- we went there right at midnight! There was a really long line, going in the east doors. Well, we stood there for a second, when Cam saw that they opened up the Babys R Us doors, so we jetted in there quickly! We were the first to check out on Babys R Us side, and we were outta there! -luckily BEFORE the fights broke out! (we got a skateboard ramp for Cams nephew)

The plan was, after Toys R Us, to go home, sleep for a couple, and go back out. Yea...that didn't happen. Denna (Cams mom) called me, said they were at Walmart, and we should come there. So we decided to stop there, see where they had everything we wanted, so that we knew where to go when we came back later. Well, long story short, we ended up staying at Walmart until 5am! (Got a sony camera, a TomTom for my brother-in-law, 2 big collage pic frames, some Christmas decorations, a folding table/chairs, a Cricut cartridge, and some jammies for Cam's nephew, Deuce)

Next, Home Depot. We were there when the doors opened at 6, and wanted to get an air compressor, shop vac, and Christmas lights. Cam and I both took off in different directions, and were going to grab any of the stuff on our list that we could find. Well, I found the air compressor right away, and drug it behind me to go find the shop vacs. I found the shop vacs (that everyone and their mom were going crazy for!) so I pulled one down, and had to push the compressor/shop vac towards the front of the store b/c they were too heavy to carry! I kept trying to call Cams phone so that he could come help me, but of course, no answer. Well, I got to the front of the store, and I see Cam about half way down the main isle, and he looks so disappointed, and he can't see that I have stuff in front of me on the ground, and he said "I couldn't find anything, they are all gone!" Needless to say, he was pumped when he saw that I had the 2 main things we wanted! Oh yea..we also go the Christmas lights...but those weren't that big of a deal.

We were home sleeping around 8, slept for about 3 hours, then we got up and went to the Christmas tree farm!! It was so fun! We also ran some other errands (grabbed some lunch, had to go get stockings and bows, etc) we were soo tired that we didn't even decorate until Saturday morning.

Saturday morning we decorated the tree and the house, and cooked stuff for our next Thanksgiving stop...Lauras (my sister) Cam didn't end up getting to go to Lauras...he was feeling under the weather, so he stayed home, while mom and I went to KC.

All and all, it was an awesome weekend!!

FRANNIE

Ok, so incase ya'll don't know the story, when Cecil and I got a divorce, he took both of our pugs. Well, Frannie (the girl) was always partial to me, and I can't tell you how many times I have cried because I miss her , and felt like I had abandoned her.

WELL...Cecil sent me an email saying how Frannie just hasn't been the same, she is always hiding, and super depressed. Obviously, this broke my heart.

I came home and talked with Cameron, and he told me that if it would make me happy that I needed to bring Frannie home, that he would love her as much as he loves me!

So..Frannie is home with her momma! Cecil brought her over tonight...she has been following me around all night...I just can't get enough of her...

SORRY!! I am bad! I need to mark it on my to-do-list to blog at least weekly!!

So..here is what has been happening...

Oct 2- Cam and I met up with Marty and his sweet girlfriend Jenna, and had a few drinks. Wish we could do it more often!

Oct 8- Went to the pumpkin patch with Cam (mark it on your calendars folks..I forgot to take my camera :(

Oct 9- Dishing Divas night! We went out for sammies, and then went and watched Lindsey in her musical Evil Dead! I loved it!! (other than, once again, getting drafted to work later that night)

Oct 10- Went to the rennisance festival with my mom and Cameron..it was SOOO cold!! Don't worry, I still got a bread bowl of soup, and an apple dumpling! And of course, Cam got the turkey leg! Yumm-o!

Oct 10- Came home and carved pumpkins..

15-18 -SISTERS TRIP TO DENVER!!! It was fun, sans the speeding ticket I received from a grouchy trooper on the way home. Ps...the sushi resturaunt we were at was the most AMAZING sushi ever!!

Oct 22- Had lunch with my girlfriend Allison at Panara, and caught up.

Oct 24- White Trash Bash at my girlfriend Caitlin's friends house..really fun!!

Oct 25- we had pics taken of everyone for Cam's parents for Christmas. I can't wait for them to see, they'll be so excited! This is one of my faves

Oct 26-29 Cameron went to the academy to be an active shooter instructor..I missed him so much!

Oct 29- I worked the crazy H1N1 clinic at the Expo, and got my H1N1 shot..I was nervous, but didn't get sick!

Oct 30- Toynes had a Halloween party, Cam and I went as Popye and Olive Oyl

Nov 2- got together with Ashley, her aunt Shelee and cousin Kayla and scrapbooked from 8a-8p, got a lot done!! Can't wait until our next date...Dec 14th!

Well, thats it for now....I promise I'll be back next week!

I feel so bad for not blogging, I love doing it, it is a release in some odd way, but I feel like once I get home from work, Im pooped, so I don't even mess with it. Im going to try to fix that!

Things that have been exciting for me lately:

Cam gave me $100 and told me to go shopping for me..it was so sweet; I went to KC and spent the entire day shopping for me. I even got to have lunch with my sister at our fave sushi train!

I had lunch with 2 of my favorite girls from St.Francis, (when I worked there) it was sure nice to be able to catch up with them!

I had an all-day scrapbook crop with Ashley, her aunt and cousin..it was so much fun! We already have 2 more scheduled!

Found out one of my great friends is prego! I love the power of prayer!

Cameron played in a cancer benefit poker tournament and won 2nd place!

Cameron's niece, Trichelle turned 6, we got her an adorable outfit, and took balloons to her school! I just love those kids!

Tomorrow is my Friday! I am in desperate need of a couple of days off! I can't wait until Saturday when I have a day off with Cameron..first day together this month!! Yes, you read that right, this month!

Friday I am excited for Katie's purse party! Friday night I am getting drafted, again, to work a DUI checklane..joy.

Other than the above mentioned stuff, pretty much my days consist of waking up, working out, eating lunch, going to work, coming home and going to bed. See now why I have no life? lol

Yesterday was my day off, and I ran some errands, then went to KC to shop with my sister! We went out for sushi at my favorite place, sakura! (the sushi train) Then we went shopping! Do you ever find that when you actually have money to spend..you can't find anything to buy!? We were both pretty unsuccessful..but it was a lot of fun...as always..

I ended up getting a couple of shirts on the clearance racks at Old Navy; a little side note...Old Navy is usually pretty hit or miss for me..normally miss..I never fall in love with anything there...however, I found a cute tank top and a short-sleeve zip up hoodie thing thats cute.

And my favorite purchase, a cadet cap! I have been looking for one for a while that actually fits my huge head..lol..

Well, its off to do more errands today and go walking with one of my favorite gals, Katie.

Nothing positive has really happened, so I have not written. This last week was a bad week to say the least! A friend of mine committed suicide, and I found out Im getting bumped to 3rd shift Sept 1-Jan 1.

I keep trying to find the silver lining in it all!

On a positive note..I've been getting caught up on my scrapbooking, and today is my FRIDAY!!

Today I had rifle training..it went really well!! I scored 100% on our qualification course! I would definitley say this is my new favorite gun!!

Today I had a much needed haircut/color! I cut off about 2 inches, I was kinda at that point at the shoulders either let it grow, or cut it! I put in a lot more blond, and dark underneath! I love it!

Well, that was the hi-lite of my day!!

Tomorrow I dont work my regular shift, I have rifle training from 8-4, so its off to bed for me!!

4 boxes cream cheese (if it makes you feel better to do the fat free, go for it!)
4 cans rotel
Two 1lb rolls of sausage (I usually use Jimmy Dean Sage)
Tortilla chips
1 croc pot liner!! (its a must..unless you enjoy washing crocpots)

line your croc-pot. add the cream cheese and rotel.

brown the sasuage, add it to the croc pot...mix together and enjoy!

Last night I did NOT lay in the bathtub and read my book for over 30 minutes. I did NOT sleep in today until 11:15.

Cam and I did NOT go to Sears to get a wedding gift for his friend. We couldn't find the stuff he registered for b/c he registered online, so we did NOT pick out stuff that we thought was similar, and got it anways..lol

We did NOT go to the gym, and we did NOT grill out for lunch.

Tomorrow I do NOT have to go back to work.

2. I think one of the best physical feelings in the world is someone washing your hair for you (silly I know..but this is why I love getting my hair did)

3. I am petrified of fire, don't like being the BBQ operator, don't like fireworks unless Im really far away, I am OCD about making sure I unplug/turn off stuff, b/c I worry my house will burn down, and even though I LOVE habachi grills..that is my LEAST favorite part when they do the smiley face with the oil and the WOOOOOOOOOOOOF your eye lashes are smoldering...

Ok, so apparently I fell off the wagon! However, I am back in blog mode!
So lets see what has happened lately..a couple of weeks ago Cam and I went to see Bruno...HORRIBLE!! Don't EVER see it. If you wanna know why..all I gotta say is gay porno..if you wouldn't watch one of those..then don't sit down for this one!
Cam and I took his parents, Frank & Denna (yes, her name is 1 letter different than mine) out to dinner, just to thank them for everything they do for both of us (gave me a TV, b/c I didn't have one in my room, paid for the hotel room/dinner at the casino on Cam's b-day, paid for the cabin that the entire family stayed in at Worlds of Fun/Oceans of Fun) so needless to say, the least we could do is dinner.
I went to KC to have lunch and hang out poolside with my sister! It was such a good day!
I went out for girls night, which I LOVED. Had some yummy sushi, and watched an UBER cute movie, The Proposal...its a must see!
The most EXCITING news is that I AM ON MY OWN!!!! I am no longer riding with an FTO or an evaluator! I have my own take-home car now and everything..the road to this point has been long, but it has all been worth it!!
Last night we went to Cam's buddy, Robby's house for a few beers and to chit chat...it was fun.

For now, thats all! I have an eventful week coming up..so I'll keep you posted!

Sleep is overrated

Its been a while..this week has been hectic!! I volunteered to work at a fireworks tent every day for the whole week from 8a-noon, then had to go into work from 2-10. So I am feeling drained!
Hopefully next week slows down, and I can't get back on schedule.

Nothing much is new; I completed my final phase of FTO, and I am now in my evaluation phase. I have 7 more days, and pending they pass me, I will be on my own!! Say a prayer that everything goes good!

I better go be productive, but hopefully you will see more of me next week!

Hope everyone has a happy 4th!!

ps..Cam is doing wonderful...just have not been able to see a lot of each other b/c of the schedule!

Not Me Monday

Friday I did NOT get off work at 10:30, and go to a get together at a co-workers house. I did NOT have a really good time hanging out with all my new buddies, and I did NOT get home at 5am!
Saturday morning I did NOT get up at 8am to go spend the day with Laura in KC. I did NOT have fun shopping, and giggling in the dressing room like we always do. I did NOT eat my FAVORITE sushi train for lunch!
Sunday, I did NOT make my daddy-o breakfast. I did NOT go riding along with Cam while he was working, and we did NOT go spend some time with his family when he got off.
Today I did NOT go soak up some sun at the pool, I did NOT go workout, and I did NOT go see Ashley and her bambinos.
Tomorrow I do NOT have to go back to work...boo! AND I will NOT be waiting for one of my besties to let me know how her apt went!!

So I have not wrote a blog in a while, sorry! Time just slips away from me!
This week at work has been pretty busy, and REALLY hot! I come home with wet clothes (from sweat) every night. Yuck!
But my good things that have happened over the last week or so are: Cam suprised me and ordered Dish Network for me to have so I didn't have to go to my moms or Cailtin's (my FTOs) to watch TV. He knows that I am a tightwad, and wouldn't do that for myself, so he did it. He's so thoughtful. I didn't have a lawmower, and would have to borrow my dads or Cams every time I wanted to mow the lawn (talk about annoying) so I got on Craigslist, and found a really nice one for $30! I was so excited, it works great! Then Fri, Sat & Sun Cam and I rode with my dad and Brenda (stepmom) to their lake house in the Ozarks and spent a few days just relaxin, boatin, swimmin, etc. It was a lot of fun! We got back Sunday, and we went to Cam's parents house, and they had got us both Oakley sunglasses because they looked like "cop glasses" lol..they are so sweet!

1-tile my kitchen floor
2-get a front loading washer/dryer
3-be able to run all of my 3 mile jog, not just half of it
4-lose 15 more lbs
5-buy a flat screen TV
6-know then what I know now..
7-have time to catch up on scrapbook pages
8-go to Hawaii!
